People will say Akuma is top tier and broken but when they play him will think the total opposite because despite he being super strong, he still requires to be played PERFECTLY with almost no margin of mistakes because of his health. So this time I picked Ryu to prove that Akuma still requires effort to win with.

As an Akuma player myself this guy made me want to tear my hair out. There so many mistakes that he was making that could’ve been easily corrected right down to the dropped combos and missed anti airs.

A character is only deadly if you with play with really well, you can't automatically assume a character is "Broken" without going through the ringer with them first and THAT'S where you'll find their strengths and weaknesses after battling other characters in the roster

I think sometimes Deadace, you need to be using medium tatsu to close the distance as a combo ender unless they're in the corner then donkey kick with ryu, Im sure you know this but it needs implementing and breaking out of the cycle of autopiloting the combo string, you're sacrificing Oki for a denjin charge, it's not worth the trade off of giving them a free out with no guess.

Ryu is really fun. Idk what buffs would make him good enough(he’s already good) but I like the dynamic how every shoto has more strengths than the other. Just up to the player to abuse them

​@@abdalrahmanainan3117 something people seem to forget is that Ryu prob has the worst post lvl 3 oki. He is only plus 8 while being so far away from the opponent. You can spend all the drive u want but will never get to force the opponent to block

Ryu is worse than Ken and Akuma. I wouldn't say he's good, I would say he's average. For Ryu to be better, he needs to have something that will make him setup combos better, kind of the way Ken and Akuma do. When it comes to the 3 shotos there is nothing that Ryu does the best. Akuma has the best fireballs, Ken has the best Dragon Punches and Hurricane Kicks

@@Axisiser I don't know bro, there is a reason why Angrybird plays Ken and Akuma but not Ryu. I would say that the latter are significantly better and they should not be. Ryu shouldn't be worse than Ken theoretically but he is in the game (and this has been the case since SF4).

@@mafioh2514 I would argue that Ken is more reliable than Akuma and we also have Cammy being OP AF , both free characters. Akuma IS supposed to be strong like that with low health , if they where to nerf him like they did in SFV , we end up with an Akuma in B tier and everyone switching characters. To avoid this capcom should buff characters that are underperforming , not nerf the strong ones, fun allowed.
