I made my own about five years ago by just cutting off the flash hider prongs and squaring it up. Works great. Only downside to Keymo is the dang weight and size.

Hello, I have a new ruger LC Carbine in 45acp coming in, What set up do you think would be the best setup please? I may try it out on my sig scorpion with factory threaded barrel. also, will the can you tell me will be the best for my setup will i be able to use it on a ruger American Gen II in 300Blk out? I recommend the Primal. It's designed for calibers up to .458 and it'll still sound great on 300BLK. I think the Xeno adapter system would go great with those. That would be the DA455 adapter and then the DA144 Xero muzzle device for the .578-28 thread on your Ruger. For the 300BLK, there are a few 7.62 Xeno muzzle devices to choose from in 5/8-24 threads, so that would your preference (flash hider, brake, micro, and Xero).

I'm still trying to decide weather to go Xeno or Keymicro for my 6.5" cmmg dissent 9mm pistol & 9" 300BO pistol. I want light & compact but also durable. That way I can switch the wolfman out between the 2 quickly.

I had almost the exact same situation - 6” 9mm Banshee, 10.5” 300 blk, and a wolfman. I went with keymicro, and I’m happy with it. Yes, it’s a little longer and heavier than it needs to be, but I don’t mind. I like the “feel” of the clicky quick attach. That said, I’ll probably go with a xeno or or plan B or similar style for my next one. You can’t go wrong with either imho.

That's I appreciate it, I'm still on fence which 9mm can to buy. Looking at Wolfman, AAC tyrant 9HD, couple others. I was leaning towards the Xeno but I definitely wanted experienced opinions! Are you happy with wolfman? Would you buy it again?

The answer you want is rearden atlas. It's cheaper and lighter. And doesn't have a ratcheting device that randomly wears out

I’m very happy with the Wolfman, and I’d get it again. I do find that I never use it in the short configuration or with the wipes, though, so there may be a slightly cheaper or lighter can with similar performance that omits those features. Also be aware that the clicky feature of the keymicro isn’t actually a ratchet mechanism; it’s literally just there for the satisfying sound and feel. I’d probably get a different mounting system if I had to do it over, but I’m not planning to swap this one out. You can’t go wrong.

Check out part number DA117. It's a micro 3 prong flash hider, 9mm bore, and is designed for the Sig taper on your MPX. And it looks amazing on there (that's how mine is set up).

@@stlnation You'll need the DA451 KeyMicro Adapter. That'll let you quick attach across anything with a KeyMo muzzle device. If you don't need the fast attach ability, that direct thread adapter is awesome too, but depending on the year it was made (pre-sig taper introduction), it may not engage your taper how you want. That's where the DA451/DA117 system is awesome.

The 3 prong is top tier in the industry. The micro version 3 prong is as good as the A1 Xeno version or other A2 variants.

Tri- lug is nice but unless you already have keymo mounting system and don’t want several mounting systems. Jmac makes a really nice brake that doesn’t have to be timed. And goes off the face not the shoulder. So you can tuck the brake back closer to the tri-lug.

@@dccarsonmusic MP5 is 9mm and the Sandman S is only 7.62. Get a Wolfman or a Mojave 9 for MP5. I wouldn't stick a KeyMo muzzle device on an MP5 that already has a 3-Lug, just because it would look funny and I'm a bit of purist on that one.

seems that up till now, that silencers have been dependent on muzzle devices types & sizes, for correct mounting, & proper functionality. I will be curious to see what other silencer manufacturers do, to try and prove my theory wrong. (most likely nothing, considering I am an insignificant loser nobody) that can't afford even the cheapest of silencers.

Key mo is a shit system and you know it. It was the best when it was only up against the asr. The problem everyone has with dead air right now if failure to own up to faults. A warranty is not a replacement for a recall. -sincerely an unsatisfied sandman purchaser.

why? Never had an issue with mine, super easy and secure on and off, doesn't get too carbon locked, only con is weight and length compared to the taper type screw mounts but those feel less secure to me

@@mediumrareribeye I have seen several out of spec key mo mounts that did not work well from the factory and have watched people go through the warranty process and have to replace the inner locking ring on brand new cans. Iv also seen the lugs sheer off and launch a sandman k downrange causing a baffle strike. On my personal sandman s the detents have worn out and I have to crank the can to keep it tight. The threads aren’t course enough and key mo absolutely isn’t as good as simple threaded taper mounts. I’m just waiting for my key mo to fail before sending my can to an outside company to be re cored cut and threaded with hub. Just buy better cans than dead air. I speak from experience.
