Wiring MESS!? Suburban A/C acting up again, 14v Fan conversion!

Could be the switches at the control panel. Chevy's are notorious for the control boards going out at the dash. Put the switch on a keyed 12v that way it doesn't accidentally get turned on when exiting the vehicle. Also check the plug where it plugs into the blower control module. Sometimes the plugs get hot and melt some and pins will slide and not make a good connection. Had that issues before

Yup!!! As soon as he turned the knob on the fan speed it looked like it wasnt working. Must be the controls

@@Alvarez1437 yup those Chevy's are bad about the electronic boards going out n the dash for the HVAC controls. The wiring harnesses are bad for getting too hot at the blower control module causing the plug to get hot melt and warp. Ford's are same way

Fried the blower motor resistor in my ZJ Jeep and the blower would only turn on with the switch set to max/high.

@@LeapFrog_Radio had one in my civic that would only work on low/med. The one in my expedition got to hot n burned plug up had to mod it to make it work but on heights setting still gets hot n shuts off. Didn't have these issues when everything was vacuum controlled. Ac went out n my mustang just had to fix vac line under hood. Good as new

It could be the switches in the control pannel. My 09 cobalt had that problem and i was able to replace just the swith in the pannel.

Need a fuse between battery and switch . So your wire doesn't get toasty

Find a wiring diagram. The a/c circuit is separate from the blower motor. look for a fuse and/or relay called heater or blower. I could help you, but I live in Tucson.

Yeah my gmt800 AC is funky too. 1,2,3 work, but then 4,5 both will cut it off. 0 acts like another 1 too.

Sounds like the control panel is bad …u can check resistance at the resistor as you change the speed levels as well to confirm it is bad
