I had a single father, he did his best to 'mom' us and did a pretty awesome job. I have an awesome stepmom now (my dad didn't date until we were adults because he felt that if he was off dating it would be like we had neither parent. His patients was rewarded by the awesome woman he ended up with) I'm reminded of the song 'I Believe' from Savage Garden where in one part they say, 'I Believe your parents did the best job they new how to do' Our parents aren't prefect, they made mistakes and have regrets, but for most, seeing us happy is the best way we can repay them.

I am 47, and I call my Mom every Friday. If I do not, she worries. She is an amazing Mom! She was always up when we got up, and still awake when we went to bed. She worked outside of the home, as well as inside. My Dad was big and strong, but my Mom had all of the power. He would drop to his knees with her slightest glance, and with one shine of her blue eyes. We did not fear our Dad's wrath, yet we did fear our Mother's disappointment in us. Still to this day, I would never raise my voice to my Mother. Ever. She means way to much to me! Thanks for this great reaction!!! Thanks!!!

Garth Brooks wrote this song for his mother. She had been diagnosed with, I think, tongue cancer. She had to have part of her tongue removed. But, she didn't last long after the surgery. It seemed like it was only about a year. Beautiful song. LOVED it too. I was blessed with a wonderful Mom, too.

The first time I saw a video of them performing this song, it was a live performance. There was a little girl sitting up front with her Mom, and being a bit fidgety (like kids can be), and right at the end, she said (very loudly) "Mommy"! When they finished, Tim asked if they were available for the rest of their tour, because the timing was perfect!

I love your reaction. There is a live version with an absolutely sweet ending. In 2016 Chris's final show was on mother's day so over the couple of shows that weekend the guys brought out their mom's as well as the wives with children to celebrate them. Although I don't think this song was sang at that moment. But yes this is an absolutely beautiful song, both from Home Free and Garth Brooks.

The live version with the adorable ending is on KZbin. And I was at that show, with my mom, about a week before Mother's Day. It was the perfect way to end that song that night and you should definitely see it, even if you don't do a reaction.

Seeing you cry made me cry...you have a golden heart I'm guessing built by a lot of hardship, it's good to see that people still feel and still love. I lost my wife I 2017 tragically and my heart has been broken since...she was the best woman, best mother and best friend I could have dreamed of and I miss her terribly. You are a wonderful woman and I wish you nothing but the best, I can only hope to meet a woman like you in the armpit of I could care less land called California. Happy Mother's day and thanks for making me feel!

I didn't see you cry one tear... I couldn't see through my own.... and I'm 56. The words and vocal presentation are touching enough - then they add the video. I love how the percussion track was done as heartbeats.. If you ever get the chance to listen to it again, you will notice all the levels that went into this song. I've listened to it about 20 times and it STILL brings the tears out. Thank you for sharing with us.

My mother was my best friend with whom I shared everything. We were partners in crime, for sure! I'm not even joking. I'm gonna date myself here, but we would literally do the Laverne and Shirley "Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!" bit in the street when we went for walks. I cry every single time I hear this song. I can't help it. I lost my mom 7 1/2 years ago, and although so much time has past it still stings. Not gonna lie. This is such a beautiful song and such a gorgeous tribute to moms everywhere.

This one is a tear-jerker at the best of times - go and hug your Mum and I hope you feel better for a good cry. You were talking about their respect for women - not to react to, but you might like to watch Tim's speech when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Museum of the Gulf Coast, thanking the five women who'd helped make him the musician he is today, starting with his mother. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnvJl4Zuo7x3eck - I should give you a tissue/Kleenex warning for this, did you know Tim was a cryer as well?

You're wrong (4:40) they were not talking to a baby. They were talking to an unborn child; hence the ultrasound at the end. And the words "time to go and meet your mom" which implies that the child hasn't met their mom yet. Unborn babies haven't, yet.
