A stellar achievement, DK. Seeburgs of this vintage can be a real handful to repair. Consider the jukebox (and my tender ears) thoroughly "punished" ;)

Thank you. I can now now add "able to hold a conversation about the functions of a Seeburg Tormat system" to me resume. It's actually not nearly as "rocket science" as the manual claims it to be. I suppose it was space age technology when they came up with it in the 50's.

Thanks for your support. I'm pleased with the result. Once the records are in it, the selection list will be bizarre by most standards, but that's how I like it.

Good to hear it working!

Indeed. I may tweak on it a bit more.... but I finally got what I wanted out of it. All the functions work, and it plays clean and loud!

Incredible! I frickin love it, dude.

Thanks. There was a several month saga on fixing this thing. From what I am told, these are among the trickiest ones to revive. I ended up resorting to DVD's about how the selector works, since even the service manual failed to get me the info in a way I could understand.

Telstar by the Tornadoes would sound right at home. Not sure what that track is but the rhythm part sounds like Nirvana "Breed" and the solo is like the final outro solo in Free Bird. :)

I have an original Telestar 45 in there. I believe it's the same year. The tune I selected to play is Tard by Pigpen. I figured that even KZbin had not heard a song that obscure. I am awaiting a custom made 45 of MY SONGS to go in there. They won't play my music on the radio (too rude), but I'm gonna hear it on a Jukebox.

You replaced all the tubes? Tubes rarely go bad so save your spares in case any of your new tubes fail down the road because a lot of them are probably still good. I own a Q-160SR, the previous year model of yours, so I know what I’m talking about.
@DeadKoby3 жыл бұрын
I put every tube through the tester. If it didn't have a short or a leak it had very very very low emission. My guess is it was mostly the original tubes that were run until the whole jukebox just quit

How much does a refurbished one like this one cost?
@DeadKoby7 ай бұрын
I honestly don't know because I never really intended to sell this one I know it is one of the last seaberg units that commands some degree of money because you can see the records playing

@@DeadKobyI was asking because I got an offer to purchase one for $2,200. I was wondering it that war too much
@DeadKoby7 ай бұрын
That's fairly competitive. I was told this model was up to 4K.
