He is not walking free, the justice has over 100 cases on him. Parole will be denied, the legal system in Colombia is very complex, Garavito has cancer, already lost part of his face and one of his eyes due to the advance state of the cancer, his days are numbered, but he will never leave jail. Also turn into Christianity as a way to influence his status in jail, this perturbed man has an untreated mental sickness for years, he traveled many southamerican countries including, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru and Brasil. For this reason we will never learn the total amount of his victims.

He was found guilty on 138 of the 172 accounts; the others are ongoing. Garavito was sentenced to 1,853 years and 9 days in prison, the lengthiest sentence in Colombian history. However, Colombian law limits imprisonment to 40 years, and, because Garavito helped police find the victims' bodies, his sentence was further reduced to 22 years........SMH

@terryellis7692

Definitely no excuse. His past molded his brain, his chemistry and created this monster. He's a narcissist so he really doesn't see people as anything other than a means to an end. An object. An object that is easily disposed of. They don't have the capability of caring. No remorse no guilt. Garavito was literally sexually satisfied decapitating his victims and putting the genitalia into the severed head. He is sick and yes that disease was created because he was traumatized at a very young age over and over and over changing him into a narcissist but a sadistic and deadly one.

Woman in Texas, an associate nurse, murdered over 60 babies. She got 60 yrs but because of overcrowding she was due to be released in 2018. Cops had to find another bereaved family and put the nurse on trial again, just to stop her release. I can’t remember her name but it was Jodie, or Josie something. It does happen in “civilised” societies.
@craftingwithCrystalDragon

Are you talking about Genene Jones? They are still prosecuting her for the different murders of those babies. What they did was charge her for some murders, then put evidence together and when she is up for probation start another trial conviction for new babies. He was released last year, the 2023 date wasn't real it was made so he didn't get killed by the mobs of people. He isn't in EPAMS Valledupar - La Tramacúa inmate roster anymore. I emailed them about the date, was sent link of inmates in C-4 solitary section... Zero Garavito. Even his neighbouring celly even said he was released.

Hopefully he did not get released. What a travesty of justice if he is.

Street justice will get him cause we know here in the US nobody will. Countries outside the US just turn away when it comes to street justice.

Wow that's incredibly evil, I think he was filled with so much hate and jealousy of others it consumed him and he pet the devil win. It's inexcusable to use your past as the reason you commit these heinous acts especially to such innocent lives.
