And for being one of the longest-winded martial philosophers in history, Sun Tzu sure doesn't have much to say in this game, does he? For that matter, where are the following historical bad-asses? - Miyamoto Musashi - William I / William the Conqueror - Erik Thorvaldsson / Erik the Red - Ivan IV Vasilyevich / Ivan the Terrible - Edward Teach / Blackbeard the Pirate - And even though Joan of Arc was a strong tactical commander, we have no proof that she was much of a close-quarters fighter; on the contrary, she was such a stickler for the Fifth Commandment that she never actually killed anyone in battle. May I nominate the Italian artist and condottiere Onorata Rodiani (who actually racked up her own body count, and who had the fortitude to limp back to town even while she was mortally wounded) to be the token female warrior instead?

Most of those weren't featured on Deadliest Warrior. Really, the only ones you mentioned that were featured were Ivan and William. Joan actually beat William in her fight, and if memory serves right, Ivan lost to Cortes.

Joe Francis I know. I follow the show too (or at least I _did_ up until the "Vampires vs. Zombies" episode). So Musashi's never been on the show. So what? The video game and the show are two different things; it's not like the video game borrows the stats on its fighters from all the abuse done to those ballistics dummies on the show. So why _couldn't_ Musashi have been included in the game?

BloodyBay You may not know this, but Deadliest Warrior was cancelled after the Vampire vs Zombie episode, so you still followed it until the end, technically speaking. As for why Musashi couldn't be included? 1) He's not really that popular of a warrior. 2). Fans of the show would be pissed that a warrior not included in the show would be in the game, most likely. 3). From what I read on Wikipedia, he dual wields which would kind of make the game unfair.

Joe Francis Some of these fights are unfair or lopsided, though. Like William Wallace vs. Shaka Zulu. Wallace wore metal armor; Shaka didn't. And that armor won Wallace the fight. Some people might call that armor an unfair advantage; had Wallace not had body armor available, the results may have been more even. And how could anyone say that Myamoto Musashi wasn't popular when, when people think of famous samurai from Japanese history, he's one of the most renowned (if not _the_ most renowned)? He lost his master, went ronin and travelled all over Japan, dueling various other warriors to the death (and becoming an even better weapons master in the doing). Then he drew on his fighting history and his experiences to write Go Rin No Sho ("The Book of Five Rings"), which to this day is one of the definitive books about training in swordsmanship. How could he be anything but famous?

i understand that but what i'm saying are that they were about four different tests long rang range mid range short range and armor and sometimes special like explosives are testing special and sniper rifles are long range its not all the same test because the different weapon types require different tests like for example they don't say how many grenades does it take to clear a room they say how fast can you clear this room with an assault rifle

when vlad the impaler was emperor of romania he was facing an invasion from the turks/ottomens. knowing he wasn't able to fight them 1v1, he decided to try a different tactic based upon fear. he took all the turk prisoners, criminals, and generally unwanteds in his kingdom and impaled dozens of thousands of them on stakes like he did on this game, mostly while they were alive. the worst type of impalement he did was when the spike was inserted into the rectum and when gravity took effect it would come out there throat/mouth, a slow, painful death. needless to say once the turks saw this they turned around and halted their invasion.

oh so that's what you meant they're individual experiments used to calculate the power accuracy and speed of the individual weapons to see which is best and which gives the warrior more of an "edge" they're their own experiment not independent variables that's why the tests are different

sun tzu is the deadliest fighter period. william wallace is maybe the 3rd best fighter only because he has the longest reaching mid ranged weapon, so you can hit in a distance at good speed. vlad the impaler is the 2nd deadliest fighter because he has a glitch that allows him to do rapid attacks.

thank you for the clear example i have two theories first: the swords were meant for different things so they gave different dummies second: they both accurately measure human flesh and ran out of the first kind highly unlikely but it doesn't really matter since they are basically the same. but now i accurately see what you're trying to say before you were just going different tests and gave an example of like a sword vs a grenade so thats what i was referring to before

sun tzu is the fastest character, william wallace never stands a chance against simply a DECENT sun tzu user. not an expert but any sun tzu user can take a william wallace user. the 2nd long ranged weapon sun tzu has has immense reach allowing you to prey, meaning get shots from far away and his speed allows him to move back before the other player can hit back.his bow gun is also elite because of the ridiculous accuracy. sun tzus moves are 4 hit combos that kill the opponent, so 1 kombo kill.
