Its common knowledge that people of northern Africa are of Semitic descent. As i stated Carthage was a phoenician city state. Phoenicia was a sea faring culture originating somewhere around Greece. Looking at genealogy from that region and culture we can assume that he was of olive tone. I have nothing against the other races, im against ignorant misrepresentations of historic figures. if you have any more doubts about this please look it up before accusing others of racism.

I saw the articles you were talking about, but these are unconfirmed. It is still unknown as to whether he was black, but considering his social statues many historian believe he was of semetic descent. as most of the army was nubian aka black, but high ranking officials tended to be semetic, there are also busts and other things that show him as being semetic in descent. untill further evidence is provided i will go with the established belief in his semetic origin.
