Things you may not know about Hoyt Axton. His mother wrote the Elvis hit Heartbreak Hotel. He wrote the Steppenwolf song Goddamn the Pusher Man in 1963. He also wrote Snow Blind Friend. The 2 most powerful anti-drug songs ever written. The establishment was too stupid to get the message. They still are. He probably made hundreds of minor TV appearances, but his biggest roles were as the main adult character in the 2 Gremlins movies. RIP Hoyt, you were a gift from God. Oh, I liked the movie too. Thanks.

In Halliki's defense, the whole idea, self financing the film, intendednas a standard 70s B movie, including those scenes makes sense, financially. He pulled his fims 9ff on a low budget. And this film KNOWS what it is, and embraces it. 2nd, Madrian Pace was his most prevalent character. I see the 0ace series, DAT, GI60S, and GI60S2 are like the Mad Max films. A bit messy, with continuity errors, taken together, but good stand alone movies. Toby's intent, according to a coversation I had with Denise, 20 years ago. Picked her up at the Buffalo airport, and drove her to Toby's hometown, for a reunion, and one of the things we talked about was her husband, and his dreams. His inspiration. I've known the family for more than 30 years. Lived down the road from his cousin's shop for 10 of those years. Even own one.of the cars bought for GI60S2, a former CHP Mustang. One shipped here for scenes that were to be filmed near Buffalo NY. Bought from him, when he retired.

@MrWolfSnack6 жыл бұрын
It's on the wikipedia page for DAT. This movie is considered meta-fiction. The movie being filmed in The Junkman was this movie, Deadline Auto Theft. He was filming a movie within a movie that nobody had seen yet. He then spliced together The Junkman and Gone In 60 Seconds with this movie to make a new subplot for the original Gone In 60 Seconds, but the last hour of Deadline Auto Theft is a direct 1:1 copy of Gone In 60 Seconds. It's really complicated and confusing to explain as it goes too deep on too many levels. He was so far ahead of his time.
