He is definitely up there as one of my favourite directors and one of his films is in my top 5 favourites - waiting for both the Sparks documentary and Last Night in Soho to come to Australia. It’s interesting hearing his perspective on his formative years in watching movies - I grew up watching the same movies - so many of what are now classics (haha). Loved many of them when they came out

‘The Incredibly Strange Film Show’, along with BBC’s ‘Moviedrome’, was an influence on my film education......Edgar should have been given this year’s Outstanding Contribution to British Film Award.....bet BAFTA think the same now
