Deadlock All Abilities Explained | VALORANT New Agent

Deadlock is VALORANT's newest sentinel agent, and in this video I go over all 4 of her abilities, and explain what they do!
Barrier Mesh (E)
EQUIP a Barrier Mesh disc. FIRE to throw forward. Upon landing, the disc generates barriers from the origin point that block character movement.
GravNet (C)
EQUIP a GravNet grenade. FIRE to throw. ALT FIRE to lob the grenade underhand. The GravNet detonates upon landing, forcing any enemies caught within to crouch and move slowly.
Sonic Sensor (Q)
EQUIP a Sonic Sensor. FIRE to deploy. The sensor monitors an area for enemies making sounds. It concusses that area if footsteps, weapons fire, or significant noise are detected.
Annihilation (X)
EQUIP a Nanowire Accelerator. FIRE to unleash a pulse of nanowires that captures the first enemy contacted. The cocooned enemy is pulled along a nanowire path and will die if they reach the end, unless they are freed. The nanowire cocoon is destructible.

yep... i just found my sage replacement... i mostly just run down guns blazing, after the flashes, and create space with my walls for my team to enter safely... but with this, i can make some even more cool plays...

Yeah, post plant seems pretty strong. Already a few possibilities of how she can deny defuse shown in gameplay trailer.

Her utility is great, you can combo her barrier with her stun trap, if an enemy will destroy your barrier they will be concussed. Then your stun trap can also be comboed with your nade which makes them crouched and concussed at the same time and they can't really move so it's an easy kill. She is kind of good at defense and post-plant. In attacking she's okay, but she kinda lacks flank watch potential because enemy can still lurk through your trap if they don't make noise. So you should really use the barrier if you don't want to get flanked. Another problem is there could be two areas to get flanked on attacking, kj and cypher can hold that with two of their utilities. While she can also do that, the stun trap can still be lurked upon. So I think her util is kind of better for post-plant while attacking.

retakes with this character in 1 v 2 or 1v1 situations will be insane. for example if someone is hiding in a corner for post plant, you can just wall the corner off and he cant peak you. and that ult is pretty much a free win when it comes to 1v1 post plant situations

*Small Inaccuracy* _(not sure abt this.. but I saw it in multiple videos)_ The ult does not target closest enemy. The ability text reads 'targets first enemy hit'. So, I don't think it homes in on the nearest enemy. You still have to aim the bounce close to the enemy's position which is why it's still dodgeable. If you look closely, you can see a hollow cylindrical path highlighting where the projectile goes, sort of like a sova ult. My guess is that you have to stand in that path to be caught in the cocoon.

Imo it can't be used directly and must bounce cause of it having a animation to startup (so you would get shot if you try to fire it directly at someone who isnt concussed or something similar) and bouncing it needs some luck and skill to actually get a hit, so not that powerful... Just that it would just feel hopeless if you actually get caught in one lmao.

the wire mesh net seems a nerfed version of fade seize Like you can still shoot clearly you are just crouched and if you are holding a corner it wouldn't matter for you unless it gives of a sound indicating a enemy is caught I think it will be more useful in chokepoints rather than on a camping viper as shown in the video as it can essentially stop a full team rush

I'm not sure how good her traps will be since flanker can easily bypass it because they obviously wont be running around the map making noises while flanking so it wont be as safe as something like a cypher trip/kj trap and turret even though you can still bypass those traps with smoke or movement ability. it's definitely useful for post-plant though

In my opinion the crouching ability is kinda optional. You can throw it to slow a plant or slow them while they push in site but the thing is if they are crouched doesn't that make there accuracy more nice so gunfight can be a easy one for them in 1 v 1 it should be that there accuracy is also reduced with there movement.

My only problem with her is the E. Why would an anti-movement barrier be transparent? I find the barrier pointless when transparent since the enemy can just shoot towards you through it. The anti-movement mechanic is really weak against a lot of situations, especially with op users. Love the ult tho, insta-win on 1v1s.
