Really nice ride along, I love the way you explain each step so well. I do have a question though, early on you talk about maxxing ult first which I get but... do you sit on and save points to do it? is that a thing? I'm phantom and I swear I can't get a straight answer on this. It bothers my OCD so I always feel compelled to spend the points when it tells me I have one, do you save them instead? You got max ult 10 min into the game which is crazy.

yeah I save points for his ult every game it gets annoying when the game tells me to upgrade but as long as your shooting the prompt to buy goes away and it just shows the number at the bottom. as for if this is good or not I realy dont know, I think it's good, I do it every game and I win more then I lose but it's not what the top players are doing I don't think,so I can't say with 100% certainty if it's THE META but like I explain in the video more speed and higher threshold for killing blow is just so much better then -3 seconds on slice and dice or 6% more differed damage IMO. but at the same time I am middle of the bell curve when it comes to rank and there are people out there (you included) that are higher rank then me and dont follow the same upgrade path so just take all I say with a grain of salt. @@Gangdalf Haha, well I think ranks are in a super weird spot right now. You easily play better than me or a lot of others in phantom. I'm shocked you're telling me this is lower rank because I was expecting you to be higher than me since I ended up learning watching this. Thanks for the detailed answer, I never seem to get a straight answer on that question whenever I ask in the discord. I think having casual/ranked be the same mode and the bell curve's change made match making really kind of a crap shoot on the skill level of players. Like either you need to be ranked up or I need to be knocked way down tbh

@dotapazappy yeah I dont know, I'm high rank in a lot of games so I figured I would climb ranks quickly in this game once I got the hang of it, but matchmaker has been terrible since last patch. And ranking up just takes forever in this game and is so dependent on your team especially in soloq. I'm not surprised I'm stuck in emissary but deserve to be in a higher rank probably around your rank of phantom or lower atm, but I've been stuck at emissary 6 for like a week now bc of terrible teammates

@@Gangdalf Yeah there are a lot of phantom players like me who are just average skill and a lot of crazy oracle or even archon ones. I've seen some ascendant people who got really high just from ranking well early on so the whole system is a bit of a mess haha. I hope they end up giving us a clean reset at some point since it's all so early. Didn't mean to be discouraging or anything, this content is honestly great stuff man. You're the right level of skilled and humble on the subjects you aren't as confident on and explain stuff so nicely I'm a big fan already.
