Watching and analyzing this one video has changed my Abrams game drastically. I'm a top 1% league player and love how this guy plays. Here's some things to note: Fun: Trust me, this game is SUPER FUN especially if you enjoy mobas. It reminds me of a really old game some people might remember called Monday Night Combat. It just looks boring but plays fun (like most mobas). Mechanics: The way he uses melee in both PVP and clearing is the key. Wall pin into charged melee into ulti into charged melee into active slow + fleetfoot + chasing with shotgun is a crazy combo for 1v1ing basically anyone. Use the dash slide trick he does often. It shrinks your otherwise large hitbox and makes you fast and hard to hit. Items: Copying his purchase pattern of 3 early game items into tier 2 item (1250 souls) spam keeps you strong. You can always sell items for tier 3 and tier 4 items later. I like to take health regen instead of extra health as my first item - you get back the 160 hp that extra health would've given you in a matter of 1 minute which gives great lane sustain. I take bullet resistance after healing booster instead of debuff reducer, but most of everything else is the same. Experiment to figure out what works for you. Early game: Hug a pillar or obstacle to get close to minions and focus on them. Peek in and out of corners in pace with your shotgun's fire rate to minimize damage from enemy players. Secure souls if the enemy starts denying them. Be sure to deny souls too. Anyone who tries to push your angle will get into life sap range which means you just out trade them. All it takes is one over extension from the enemy and a few close range shots from your shotgun to send anyone running away with low hp while you lose hardly any. Go for the charged melee if they get too close as long as it doesn't leave you standing in between a ton of minions. TEMPO IS IMPORTANT HERE. Any time you're not taking peek shots at an enemy player, you should be either reloading or shooting minions. A great situation is if 3-5 minions get close enough to be in sap range while you're still behind cover. Take advantage of that for a free heal. When you're first few levels and don't have a combo, charged melee into two shots into charged melee is your highest DPS. Take your 1 then your 3 ASAP and then upgrade them each once asap. Take your tackle third. Once you have tackle, look for wall pin into charged melee into 2 shots into charged melee or more shooting. You get health regen item ASAP and have too much sustain to get pushed out of lane. Try not to trade too much once you're at half hp. Give your passive sustain and your 1 ability a chance to do their thing. If you're down to 200 hp or less, it's okay to zipline back to base for a heal and come back if your teammate can hold it down for you. It's a tempo loss but better than dying. Take out guardian ASAP. Spend souls as often as possible. After taking out your own lane's guardian, gank an adjacent lane and take that guardian. Go back to your own lane and push the wave to enemy walker then gank another lane with guardian still up and take a third guardian for the team. You instantly win early game for your team through that. Purchase items as often as possible while doing this to stay ahead of everyone and snowball. It's better to gank losing lanes because it's easy to flank, and it prevents the enemy from getting souls from your own guardians. Mid game: Soul urn is huge. Try to drop whatever you're doing for it because the first urn gives 9000 souls spread through your team. Hold alt and click the minimap to ping it for your team to come help. Take camps while moving between lanes. Try to flank enemies who are pushing in your struggling teammates. It's fine to use your ultimate to kill one person. Late game: After taking out all of the walkers and some of the double guardians in a few lanes, look to pick off 2 or 3 of the enemy then gather your team with pings to collect mid boss. You DPS the boss with charged melee, double shot, charged melee, double shot, repeat. Once out of ammo, just spam charged melee. Remember, when boss dies, a crystal drops down that you must charged melee in order to actually collect the reward. Abrams has low damage at this point but can still kill squishies. Your primary purpose is using your active slows and your kit's cc to lock people down for your teammates. Your charged melees however do a lot of damage at this stage. You can still turn on anyone 1v1 with your full combo. If you ever get caught and outnumbered, blow your 2 and your dash slides to get out. Ulti if needed. Superior stamina should be purchased by now to make you surprisingly nimble. Hope these tips help you go undefeated like I've been since watching this vid!

Abrams' abilities and voice are an impressive, nigh badass, stylistic blend of Hellboy and Harry Dresden. This test map has some promising textures, too. However, Valve has to cut the uncharacteristic crap, and unveil more characters and gameplay before I give Deadlock a rip.

Top middle are the towers and shrines etc. It's easier to keep track that way. Map shows ally and enemy positions as well as the grappling hook lines. The coloured lines represent your team's control over the specific lane, which means you can "Fast travel" along the lines you have to efficiently get back or run from the fight. Really good design choice that makes the flow of the game more dynamic.

It's objective gameplay is inspired by games like Dota, LoL and HotS, while class/ hero gameplay is based on a mix of Dota, TF2 and Overwatch. You can upgrade yourself in safe location or in the midst of battle once you gain enough points to do so. The shop system at base and near main objective is a very simplified, easy-to-use one that lets you customize your character's stats via upgrading using souls, you gather them from taking down enemy forces or destroying objects in the map. Characters themselves are all unique and all have their own pros and cons, some are only good at some things like dealing straight DPS while others are able to work around the surrounding environment to gain advantage for them and their teammates. Just to name a few. The way to get around the map is using the multiple ziplines which makes the game not that slow as people would think. It's basically a better Smite. That's all I can say, but it's not bad at all. Give it a shot if you get invited.

Ooor, focus a little bit on everything visually, from the flat textures to the voice acting style and sounds, to the weird twitchy third person source engine camera, albeit placeholders at the moment. Moba roots is such a weird thing to hear as a definitely distinctive quality: have you played the MannCo MVM update? What makes something moba? Lanes? Because then even CS:GO's Dust2 had them since day 1 in terms of level design. Minions and shopkeepers? Well, MVM in TF2 fits that bill ok, and you also get a vendor. Let me guess: it's something new because it's 6v6? Because calling anything battle arena while also making it smell like CTF/push the objective type gameplay in small ish maps feels underwhelming. But yeah, the art style is what makes me feel a weird kind of void, as if I'd expect that character to be the medic but he ain't. It feels like Valve chose to chase trends instead of setting them. I still have original copies of CS 1.5 / CS1.6 and CSS. Can't say that much about the Overwatch vibe CSGO got... Or about how Valorant took all that made CS work and bashed it together with Overwatch/Dota vibes to get a shooter that will never reach the same place as CS 1.6 did. Maybe I'm getting old but I had more fun playing online on my own CS1.6 server with Warcraft 3 mod in it than this game Valve keeps quiet about as if trying to get the hype squad running...

1) open map so you can see all the enemy on the map ? (hope not) 2) need concept of carry farming and supports that have other tasks in game, if everyone is just going to be shooting it will get boring really quick. if I am going to end up in a lane with another player who is suppose to take all the farm ? 2.1) borrow concept of supports where they can stuck creeps and buy supportive items.(from other games like dota, hon, even the sheet game league of legends) 3) shop and items equip need to be more visual. 4) unable see jacksheet when the hero casts spells, something needs to done about that... 5) the gun sign cursor is not visible in game at all, especially when casting spells, something really needs to be done with the colours when spells are casted 6) 6 players is too many and 4 lanes are too many, especially if there are creeps are all over the map. 7) if team fights going to consist of running around and shooting and sometimes using abilities that wont work ( it will get boring really quick), especially with that many players, there should be an initiator, carry, supports, at the moment it looks like everyone just runs around and shoots overall looks fun, but im afraid will be the same as heroes of the storm, ppl will play for 6 months and then everyone will just forget about it.

This is a tricky game to get into. For sure its fun but j have almost no experience with MOBA games, dont let the shooting stuff fool you. I've achieved top rank in 3 different shooters (2 fps, 1 3rd person) and my experience allows me to kill things quick, sure, and some of the abilities feel familiar but i want to stress how much more this is similar to popular MOBAs than games like Overwatch. Not so sure about it

Game mechanic. The patron is the Nexus / Ancient of this game. Gathering souls powers up your patron, which makes you stronger.

So... TF2 mixed with a hero shooter like Overwatch and.. Dota 2?? This is like when you were a child and you thought "hey maybe if I combined this pizza with some sushi and ranch dressing it'll be a lot better!" Like trying to mix foods together that should never mix, why even make this? It looks bad for Valve. We could have had TF3 or Half Life 3 or Left 4 Dead 3 by now, I would have been a lot happier with that but instead we get this.
