Unpopular opinion: I think Marcus really does love Maria, not Saya, and even HE himself doesn't know that. Hint; Even when he was tripping hell, he went looking for Maria not Saya. Saya is more like an infatuation caused by that one kiss at the beginning. It's something he never had a chance to dive more into thus, leaving that curiosity part alive. I hope I'm right. I ship them hard.

The fact that season 2 won’t be a thing hurts so bad, because the comics really advocate for Marcus and Maria. They get so much better. There’s one issue in particular I was dying to see as an episode.

They do love each other but, marcus was curious about the kiss between him and saya and saya is basically jealous because, maria is broken but, she can still have people without pushing them away

I totally agree! Marcus has always been enamored by Saya, but I believe Maria is the better choice for him. They want a lot of the same things and Maria has always been straightforward about her feelings for Marcus. I think the beginning of the video is even an argument for their compatibility. Season 1 just wasn’t the right time for them, yet.

Thank you! This video really evolved. I wanted to do a sad video for them and it slowly became a deep dive into the relationship and how it unraveled on each of their ends (especially Maria’s). At the end of the day, these are really just teenagers who have no idea what they’re doing.

Brandon J That hand parallel is one of my favorites to use! Marcus and Maria have always been my favorite Deadly Class couple and I feel like it just emphasizes their shared experiences, which is what they were looking for in others. Also, in response to your other comment, I dunno if you’ve read the comics, but I would highly recommend them. Remender does a wonderful job of really turning their relationship around. They both learn a lot from the events of the first season and grow individually and as a couple. I’m really sad I’ll never get to see Benjamin and María Gabriela play that part.

I don't know if I would say Maria has too much experience about relationships. She's only had ONE relationship where they forced her to change her personality to attract men since she was a child (she told Chico that they "forced her to become a whore") and all the experience she has is abusive. I'd say she has no experience of a healthy relationship.
