It's been a while since I read but if I remember correctly, the girls weren't really friends, so there wasn't any kind of loyalty between them - Saya sleeping with Marcus was bad, but Maria didn't take it personally, just got reasonably pissed, like Saya didn't really mean anything to her, she was upset with Marcus mainly That's all to say Saya was terrible but in the comics she didn't betray Maria's trust, bc there wasn't any

However, Marcus realized that in the end he wanted to be with Maria.

Well I hope yoy didn't forget that episode 10, Saya left the post to help her friend, but instead is almost killed by her. They have no appreciation for Saya's help, especially Maria.
