Been a few disappointed comments on this one- understandable on such a tragic situation and sensitive subject. keep in mind, i am a story teller and we use our drone as a tool. On this occasion it was to gain perspective on the situation of the traffic- which turned into a “behind the scene” moment that i captured. I showcase these moments because they are real. Captured as it was unfolding: and as it led to a moment where we could connect to dougs roots as a tow truck driver and the ability to bring awareness to the dangers that motorcyclists face everyday on the road. When i edit i try to keep the video as respectful as possible while stile crafting something that my community wants to watch. Face paced. Up beat etc. As you know not every episode is us “chasing” misfortunes but instead trying to help in the ways we know how. This channel is about my perspective on real life moments, and sometimes highlights very personal moments. I try my best to do that with tact and integrity. Hope you understand. Thanks for following this adventure.

He did fly a drone over an emergency scene which is a big deal. Life flight can't land with a drone in the area. Against FAA drone flying regulations.

@@Audrey-ps3ei What facts did he twist? There was an accident on the road he was driving. No he should not have used the drone in the manner that he did. The accident was fatal. There were 2 motorcyles involved. When I traveled full-time in an RV, I saw more than my fair share of fatal accidents because of stupid mistakes and would post about them on my FB page. I posted about the young girl who was on her phone and ran a stop sign and almost killed my son on his motorcycle. Is this me twisting the facts for likes?

@@Audrey-ps3ei As a dad who lost his son this year in a motorcycle crash, I see nothing wrong with this video. The fact is maybe someone will see it and learn from it and it may save their life. If he just saw the blood and gore then it would be for likes. He got someone official to use it as more if a PSA. Thanks Josh.

Thank you for sharing. Life can change in a matter of seconds and you never know because even if you are driving safely, someone else may not be. My dad (sadly recently passed away) was a retired trooper. His best friends ended up being wrecker services/towing and he not only helped get a fine deputy coroner hired, he was a huge hand in his election to be our finest Chief Coroner over the whole county. I say all that to say this…most accidents are preventable it just takes safer driving and more attention paid. I used to see pictures in my dad’s office/study at our home of crash victims due to his reports. It’s horrific. People please pay attention to the road and by all means, NO TEXTING while driving.

Your video popped up on my feed for the first time in a long time. I was a subscriber to AWP but withdrew my subscription for obvious reasons. What I noticed in this video was your dedication to go towards the accident because of your deep desire to help, as first responders. People can dissect it into a million pieces, and say some awful things, but I see two people who are genuinely passionate about helping others and use your craft and skill to use, regardless of profession. Stick with it boys!

I was a Radiologic Technologist for over 20 years and had to x-ray many motorcyclists. I agree that there is always some form of injury for the motorcyclist whenever they are part of an accident. Just 4 years ago we had a motorcyclist loose his life on the front of our property. Unfortunately, a woman, on our road, was not watching (we actually believe she was on drugs at the time) turned in front of the cyclist and he hit her vehicle in the side. He flew over the top and landed on our property. He was only 35 years old. Though we did not know him personally, we attended his Celebration of Life Services. His family was very appreciative of our being at his service and that we cared for their loved one until the coroner came to get him at the scene of the accident. Life is fragile and everyone who drives a vehicle of any kind must be aware of their surroundings and conditions of the road at all times. Josh, my heart goes out to the families that lost their loved ones in this accident. You and Doug are always on our hearts at all times but especially when we know you are traveling and searching cold cases! ❤️🙏

My Son in law got knocked of his Harley in August 2021. He had to be air lifting to hospital with life changing injuries. He spent 5 months in hospital and has 9 surgeries 2 lasted over 11 hours to pin his bones back together. He’s since had a hip replacement and is now looking at a knee replacement. He’s 23 years of ago. Can’t ever go back to his job as a landscape gardener. He was told my a top surgeon in London he could lose his leg within the year. He struggles with pain daily and he’s so young. He realised life can be put out in the twinkle of an eye. So Christmas Day 2021 proposed to my Daughter. They got married in August 2023 and are expected their first baby in September. It was tea time traffick so the roads were very busy and he was doing 30 m.p.h. The driver who knocked him off is disputing it was not is fault so that’s holding his compensation up. Ten witnesses came forward to say he turned right in a duel lane. Harvey was on the inside lane and he went straight into the side of his bike. We are lucky he survived my heart goes out to the ones not so fortunate and their loved ones. He’s finding in extremely difficult to find a job and he can’t do heavy work and can’t sit too long either. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

I live in Phoenix. Wicked beautiful scenery during sunsets and lightning storms. yeah people around here don't know how to drive in rain because we rarely get any. The underpasses always flood on the freeway too, due to a lot of rain QUICKLY. It can't soak in because the ground is baked hard from the heat. Tragic accident, but that is one of my favorite drives in all that wide open space.

For motorcycles it's not a matter of "if" it's a matter of "when" and how bad. Ride aware. Drivers start seeing motorcycles. Everyone drive safe. From Phoenix. Horrible accidents happen each and every day here. The speed limit is 45 in the city. Too fast for most drivers, especially in the city. The highways are not monitored well by police for reckless drivers as the funding is not there. Lots of waiting on highways if there is an accident because almost always, they are fatal. I’m so sorry that you had to experience this aspect of Phoenix. It really is a wonderful place to live.

As someone who works for a PD, I can tell you it is a very bad idea to use a drone over an accident scene. The PD I work for had a woman killed, hit by a car, and a guy was almost arrested and his drone almost shot down for sending it up over the scene. Instead, they followed the drone back, confiscated his memory card, and summonsed the guy. It's technically evidence now. We could have kept his drone and his phone due to that. So, just be careful.
