I’m glad I came across all of your guys channel. Being able to work within different budget brackets is always fun. I bought this deck thinking I was gonna play with Duskana and making a silly face down deck with bears but I’m gonna probably go more your route with the face down mechanic. I’m gonna add a couple creatures that don’t have a disguise cost and some other protection but I think it’ll be fun and . Silly Edit; I think another tech you could use is blinking your face down creatures. Some instants, and artifacts and enchantments to blink things. I use conjurors closet and golden argosy myself

Yeah that was a bummer. I recently got back into mtg after 20 years and this is the first deck I´ve bought (the seller said it would be cool cause of the new mechanic). I still kinda regret not taking the merfolk deck of ixalan, coupled with the ixalan bundle, but hey this deck might still be fun. I just committed a bit and bought more cards worth 50 bucks to make it stronger. Some of them were presented here, but I bought a couple of others as well. I wonder if my second deck should be ixalan. Im not that fallout crazy, but I dont wanna buy sth again thats not up my alley.

I love this channel. Almost every other video that is upgrading any of the pre-cons will only put 10 cards in and take 10 cards out. Or they have a budget of five to $10. I love that this channel doesn’t just assume that all of us are looking for a super awesome low budget upgrade.

Important to note that austere command uses mana value to determine what to wipe, not power value.

Why did you keep temple of the false gods?

I'm guessing because in this deck the 2 colorless is actually very beneficial with casting morph/disguise plus the 5 lands out isn't really an issue with the green ramp spells. This might be the only deck i left it in as well.

Yeah, Im normally not a fan of that land. It's super lame seeing it in your opening hand. But in this deck, drawing it mid game could really help -Shane

@@GuysThatMagic thanks for tip, I started looking when the precon was announced and I tried 3 local LGS's and then looked on card kingdom/coolstuff as a last resort. I look at tcg for prices all the time and didn't even think about just ordering from there.

Very true, you wont get to cloak a card like your opponents. I can see the argument for keeping it in, I just ultimately didn't feel I needed it. -Shane

I wouldnt play Forsaken Monument. Kadena can poop out facedowns faster and it would never play that.

@GuysThatMagic The issue is you're basically paying 5 mana, in a deck that is already very mana hungry and intensive, on an anthem. You don't want to play a lot of colorless mana since it makes casting Kaust early more awkward so you won't be doubling much of your mana, the life gain is irrelevant and you're gonna be flipping the creatures over enough that the anthem effect is only benefiting a few at a time. It's not worth it.

This precon seems super underwhelming and boring couldnt see it being strong

It's actually really good. Just needs a couple cards from the new set and a few of the big double strike and trample creatures from older sets and you'll be pumping out the damage. 2 mana ramp also isn't great, you're better off playing 3 or 4 mana ramp.
