According to some other comment he was a victim of political steamrolling, apparently he had already dropped two monitors off at the courthouse to be used there and was bringing the third to the jail to be used in phone calls. Just spreading what sone other person said in the comments I have no idea if any of its true. But he got far too severe a punishment, if one was even warranted at all, and his plot for revenge was bron of this wrong. He was somewhat a victim, it seems, but I don't think his actions are anywhere near warranted.

I can't help but feel that maybe there was a miscommunication somewhere, somehow and someone whom he had gotten into a pissing match at some point used it as an opportunity to f him over. I've seen things like that before....someone steps on someone else's toes (and trust me, I live in Texas, people carry grudges with them over the slightest provocations to their graves). That someone else sits and bids their time, sometimes for years, waiting for the opportunity to get even and when that opportunity presents itself, they jump on it...even if they've forgotten what the provocation was.

Kieran Bratson as a military veteran and working with them as a civilian, there’s no such thing as spare items; monitors or something else. Everything is accounted for, and is recycled, it’s never for free or to borrow. There has to be chain of the items, where they are, who they are assigned to, how many, etc. No way he didn’t know this if he worked for the county, state, or government. Someone else asks why do they do this if they have money? It’s not about having money. Some people get a rush from stealing. Winona Ryder comes to mind; caught shoplifting at the prime of her career. It’s just like any other form of addiction. ✌️

I am a Kaufman native and I remember the day this happened. I had just graduated from Kaufman high school in 2012 was staying at a friend's house. When I woke up that morning the first thing I heard from my friend was, "The ADA has been assassinated in the square..." I was only a few miles from the square. When I went outside I could count 3-4 helicopters circling Kaufman. For the next couple of days we had police officers from surrounding cities posters on just about every main road and high way in the town. It was crazy.

Oh wow, I am from Kaufman and have family who were close to this. This was really detailed coverage. The one thing you missed was that he didn’t steal the monitors for his home use. He requested new monitors for his office and his employees, but his request was denied because of politics (him backing Mike’s competition.) So he went and relocated those “tree” monitors from an office not being used to his. Also they didn’t find the car on both tapes until after he was already arrested. What got him arrested was the FBI back tracing the anonymous tip line to him. It wasn’t so anonymous.. that was controversial for everyone at the crime stoppers. Great coverage though! It’s crazy seeing something I was so close to and knew people it affected!!
@Secret_Soul_Survivor2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for a bit of back story there because that makes more sense about the monitors. I thought he was behaving in a way that he felt entitled to have them. There was definitely some nasty politics going on. Nevertheless, his reaction to kill for revenge was very OTT.

@@ArtOfficialKreations That's what I heard too. But he didn't follow through protocols in acquiring the monitors therefore it can be considered as stealing.
