Void is not shadow. “shadow” is traditionally symbolic of gloom, despair, and often death Void is emptiness. a completely empty space. "the black void of space" The chart is based on the titans ideology because they don't understand void.

Would it be possible for Azshara to have travelled beyond the stars in the pursuit of power such as the realms of the Void itself?

So I barely keep up with WoW lore and haven't played the game in years, but there is something that came into my mind when listening the light is not opposite of void part. Let's say that the titans were right when they said that in the beginning there was an ocean of light. If in the beginning there was ONLY an ocean of light wouldn't the opposite of everything (light) then be nothing aka void. Anyway i love these lore brainstorming videos keep it up! EDIT: Also i have always viewed the void as the dark matter rather than actual nothignness.

In my mind, I’ve always looked at the cosmo chart from chronicle and only saw opposites but this video got me thinking. “In what reality does shadow = void?” When it meets light. If you took all the forces on that chart, opposites cancel each other. Shadow/Light, Arcane(Order)/Chaos, Life/Death, etc. When 2 true opposites meet, in theory, cancelling each other out, you’re left with nothing. A Void.

@@TheAccolonn my dilemma after this video is: theory #1: azeroth is a first one and that's why everybody and their pantheon is shitting themselves about seeing the void getting so close, and the titans are the good guys also fighting to prevent azeroth's corruption by the void. theory #2: azeroth was put to sleep/imprisoned there by, i dunno, the titans? and now there's discord among the 6, because the 7th has been taken out of the picture and there's no harmony, and if she wakes up, she will throw their little conspiracy/coup out of order (every pun intended)? in this scenario titans are not the good guys, they're actually making sure she stays under the effect of ketamine forever. i remember someone's speculation recently about how the fuck are titans dicking about in the plane where azeroth is? it seems that all the other realms stay in their own plane and we have to cross over there to have tea with them. but not titans?

The "Circle of Stars" was what was the name of her "Prison" was. Most of these whispers and books use concepts and metaphors and is not a literal translation to what it is supposed to mean. Saying she "escaped" the Circle of Stars basically means that she has escaped being a servant to N'Zoth. e.g., She escaped the circle of stars and now therefore is not bound to Nzoth (whether or not that means she is naga no longer idk). She is now a free agent who is on to her own devices. And I am pretty sure the umbral veil is her essentially breaking free of this "universe". Most likely she is now in the void and will probably return as some champion of the void.

Hey! Thanks for putting these out. I use them to keep up with WoW lore, to get my dose of tinfoil hat theorizing and to help me sleep. I often put these on when I go to bed to help with that... Which gets me to a thought I just had while trying to sleep. Now its not finished and I need to think about this more but I really need to sleep so just bear with my tired brain and hear me out. The circle of stars... Now what does that refer to? I feel like its too vague for us to know right now and I haven't finished the video (yet) But I had a random idea that I shot out of bed for. What if the Circle of Stars refers to order as we know it? Sounds weird but here's my reasoning. Titans are made of stars. They're like constellations. And they are a pantheon. What if the Pantheon is the circle of stars? But not the complete circle. You see when we fight Argus we see the Pantheon "Throne room" Its a bunch of seats in a half circle. I always figured the Death Pantheon so the eternal ones from Shadowlands (The Winter Queen etc) mirrored the Titans. So the titans are the living pantheon of order while the eternal ones are the death pantheon of order. In a sense they form a circle no? 2 half Circles forming an entire Circle. So to break out of the Circle of Stars would be to escape the shackles or boundaries set by that order. Anyways I'm tired and will need to think about this more tomorrow but hey here's my contributing with my own thoughts

@@TheAccolonn Well thank you for making them! And I am way too invested in these rabbit hole lore theories. I feel like the average WoW enjoyer would call me insane. If you don't mind I will dump like a couple more random thoughts I had here rq. Like I think Azeroth is a first one. I think that's a pretty safe bet by now. But I also think there is a reason for the confusion. What if we look at the Titans in a more insidious light? In the video it was mentioned that the Titans were programmed a certain way so they THINK the universe started a certain way and they THINK Azeroth is one of them. But what if that's not true? What if they call her a Titan to sort of lay claim to her. To say "She is one of our own and belongs to us" Because I think the story of WoW is a cosmological race to influence Azeroth and to sort of either use her or get her on that powers side because all the comsological powers have the job of keeping the outside force out and to protect the universe but just like Zoval they all don't trust each other to do it together or alone so they think THEY are the ones that need to be in total control to fulfill their duty. I think the first ones are the pillars of creation. Not the legion thing but they are what holds the foundation up. They gave up a part of themselves to create what we now live in. What if that hurt them or made the weak so that either put them to sleep or they are sleeping themselves to recover. Every one of them was responsible for a different part of the universe or force so they aren't all in the same place. They are scattered. And what if they are the source of said realms. So if we narrow it for the sake of an example there might be a chaos first one who is the active source that the fel originates from and other chaotic magics and sources. And it flows out of them like a battery or a wellspring and because they descended into chaos or disharmony that then sows war between the forces because their wellspring or source is messed up. THATS what Zoval meant! Its flawed. Its out of tune. It can be messed with. And the perpetrator MIGHT be the void. The outside force that messed with the harmony of everything. Its the odd one out. Its creation or intrusion must have created the disharmony. Everything is perfect. All the forces oppose something and balance each other out as you said. Except the void. THATS the out of tune player that the other forces can't just adjust around. Maybe we need to wake the first ones because they're like instruments in need of retuning. Or we just use the xerith realms on the sleeping first ones to tune them. Also... One last random thought because you talked about it. Maybe if Shadow tries to devour light THAT creates void but I have no damn clue what void really is just like you seem to have trouble with it. I think its at least possible that light and void mixing in a sort of paradoxical way could have created the old gods. They're kind of life. But twisted. I think an old theory was that the old gods are essentially life unbound, out of control, turning on itself and devouring everything. There could lie your answer to what the void is with the evergrowth or whatever it was called that one of the titans found on a planet. He had to intervene it was that bad

Concerning the pantheons, it would make sense that the "orderly" forces like Light, Order and Death would have a pantheon, but the disorderly ones as the lady suggests make more sense without a pantheon or at least not a set one. I am not sure now, but isn't it possible for a wild god to die and then be reborn? We haven't seen it anywhere else so far. Also, if they are not cared for in the shadowlands as the seeds, they cannot be reborn, so it would make sense if they could be replaced. It could also tie in to why they seem weaker than the titans, because there could be much more of them and their combined power would be the same as the combined power of titans and others.

Look at the cosmic map and tell me under Light is Holy, which is a Star. Then you have Shadow (Void) Which seems to have a black hole. Its a Darkened Star. Could this explain how Azeroth created void when she plucked her eyes out and An'she fell to void? Or does the sun symbol/black orb symbol not represent a sun and its opposite in death a black hole?

I suspect that Azeroth (Azathoth) isn't a TItan soul, but instead the lie is revealed that she is everything. In Lovecraftian lore, Azathoth's dream is reality and if it should ever wake reality ends. I suspsect that the story that Blizzard is struggling to tell us (being that it's stretched over so many expansions) is that each of the six elements in the major ring of the cosmological chart represent the ring of stars. The ring of stars, their six cosomological representations and their pantheons, are the choir of Outer gods that keep Azeroth imprisoned in her slumber so that existence can remain chugging along. She's never been a measley Titan soul. She doesn't fit into the chart, a lot of things don't fit into the chart because the chart is the lie, all apart of the song and dance to keep the all powerful idiot god who unknowingly dreamt the universe into existence asleep.

It is possible that the void lords are inspired by the SCP foundations lore about the Pattern Screamers. They are, essentially remnats of an earlier creation. They no longer exist and they hate that. A real scientific version of a "circle of stars" is what you wouod see ahead if your are on a starship travelling at a realativistic speed. A dark void of nothing with the stars forming a ring around that void. At this speed time dilation is not only measurable but also significant.

Since Avalon and it’s equivalents in Celtic myth - Tir na nÓg, Hy Brasil and Annwn - are all names for the Otherworld, doesn’t that link back to the possible Mortis realms? Or to Ardenweald (literally: the great forest) specifically? If there are Old Gods on Aveloran, it’s going to be interesting! The Greek Titans who won the war placed their fallen Titan brethren in the Underworld/Otherworld.

Well your wow character doesnt just vanish when you die right, you turn into a spirit and go back to your body. Kinda like that, Avaloren is the "graveyard" of the old gods. Think about it this way Ursoc when he died in legion went to the Ardenwealed. to rez him from death and reincarnate he needed MASSIVE amount of anima due to to his power scaling. Same with ysera she sucked massive amounts of life force from the winter queen to the point where she loses a leaf from her head. Now these are just mid tier power scaled characters. Now imagine an old gold that can rival titans. Its gonna take a LONG time. We rez fast cause we are mortals.

Nyalotha could be very well be azeroth's core actually, "her heart is a crater and we have filled it". The old gods seems to be created by azeroth who dreams, they are not part of the shadow or void, they were created by azeroth itself, this relates to h.p lovecraft. The other forces are external. the "void lords" in the map of titans point of wiew shoudnt even be there, they are not "shadow", pretty much a clash of shadow and light created the void, an extra force from the "originals". The titans probably just thought the void lords sent the old gods, but i think story going for Azeroth being the dreaming god that creates "reality", including the old gods. They are very tied to azeroth, from the start.

Accolon i think you may missunderstand void. In real life shadow is the void of light, so void and shadow are in deep connection. Here in Warcraftm the void lords are that makes possible void, so there can be shadow, free space void from any cosmological power and balance. Umbra or void is possibility because where is void there is free place. Where is place there are possibilities for other powers to grow or renew. So void is important for the balance. If every place is conquered in the univers how can the other powers grow or get in balance? With void. Void makes possibility for the balance between the powers. Also void doesnt tell what will happen in that shadow, the possibilities are endless as the endless truths what they see.

Your friend's right about his theory on the Old Gods. That's one of the reasons that explains why they've got so many eyes, they are indeed an abomination, a mutation or aberration, bc they are a chaotic amalgamation of flesh, soul(s), decay, shadow and death! That's literally what an Old God is. That's why Yogg called himself the God of Death, because void also represents death (btw also chaos), or they represent what they would call the real death or complete void, oblivion, you die and there's nothing or maybe you become one with the void which literally means the same thing. It consumes you like the void. If it wins there's nothing to go back to when the cycles starts over, don't you get it??? Don't forget Good and Evil, and the Void is evil. That's why Death is more aligned with Order and Light in comparison to structure. You need a structure for the cycle to work properly. Nature/Life is part of the cycle just as all of the other forces, but nature aligns with chaos in a way that it is natural order thus in that sense life lines up with Void and Chaos, but it doesn't make life evil for less. Good and Evil separates everything in two, and all forces are capable of both. You see, the Void is capable of good on face value but in order to obtain something or advance an evil cause, so it's a trap because if it "saves" your life and keeps death away from you, it's stealing you from the Good death to take you to the bad death. A lot of fools wanted to see Death as evil but it just isn't the case, at least not the structural death and because death doesn't mean the same thing for everyone even mortals IRL, it's impossible to know what a person thinks Death is until we ask the, although the other version of "death" which is void is indeed evil. Nobody would agree on what paradise is right, so it's normal that all of y'all didn't think the Shadowlands couldn't be the realm of Death, bc you don't like that version of a paradise, when talking like the Shadowlands was a horrible place to go because of all that order. That's because you're looking at it through libertarian eyes and mindset. If you think paradise is a place where you're free to do whatever you want good luck going that route. To maintain the most important right, that is life, you need order and love to make a limit on the freedom of what people can and can't do, and we use moral standards that come from right or wrong to do that, or else everyone would murder and destroy each other, because that is the challenge humans face. ANYWAYS back on track... your friend's wrong about the infecting part though. Death can infect its counterpart life with necromancy magic. The proof there is Undeath; an abomination, something unnatural that shouldn't exist. Fel can also infect, we've seen it infect order beings and constructs, so all forces can do it and likely that it doesn't limit them to their counterpart. Fel infects a soul to the point where they become a demon rather than being sent to the SL like all mortals without exception. Xe'ra was about to turn Illidan into a Light infused being, so Light can also "infect" chaos. That's because words are words and people dumb as they are make up their own truths but Truth is incorruptible. Truth is objective not subjective. In the end, THE TITANS ARE RIGHT>>> Light and Shadow are the two first ones of the first forces, as Light created everything.. Life, Chaos, Order, Death, and Void was self-created from the LACK of LIGHT. They can all infect or corrupt to a certain degree but the shadow/void is certainly the best at it. Good video!

If we can stop and come back from the speculation deep dives for a moment and look at things simplistically. The cosmology map shows us how close the titans are to the void (shadow) side of things, not to fight against it, but to support it, work for it b/c that what the void wants, to control/order things to it's will. The opposite end of the map where Life/Nature/Holy are, if you think, what does it always try to do.....spread at any cost, chaotically if necessary . This is what causes the Burning Legion to form and Sargeras to flip sides, to help support the spread of Life and Light, he was the means of a "great flood" so to speak. Wipe mortals out and start anew all while Life/Light/Nature continued to spread. Even when the Naaru tried to FORCE Illidan into subjugation, perhaps they sensed Sargeras' defeat and was recruiting a new representative? It all seems very deliberate. The Titans are of the Void, the great deception.

Titans were created with one protocol...create ORDER....I don't think they care about how that order is formed or care to think about how they conceptualize how that order should be created (or from who/what they get their information)..."cosmic robots" if you will. Do we know 100% where they come from? Do we know who/what feeds them their information? Have we EVER seen the Titans and the Naaru interact with one another? If I were trying to manipulate a cosmic power/force into doing my bidding I'd want them to think they were in control as well, wouldn't you? If the void truly wanted to control reality wouldn't posing as the bad guy while manipulating actions behind the curtain in order to create the outcome you desire be worth it? To answer your question though...Titans don't fight the void...they fight the Old Gods. Who's to say the Void didn't create the Old Gods just to have a manipulated conflict in order to put the Titans on a path of creating order to influence us (the players) they are the "good guys"?
