I absolutely love Snowcone but I'm kinda sad that this didn't make it into the final song. I've watched this video plenty of times now because I really love this lead. It has something mystical. Hearing it makes my thoughts wander off and it really relaxes me. But I guess that's just deadmau5 beeing the critical producer he is. I really hope that maybe, just maybe he's rethinking the lead some day and will upload a re-edit.

Agreed. But as a (bad) producer, I do this all the time too. I'm super indecisive when it comes to what makes the final cut. But whenever I'm onto something, I usually save it in case I scrap it. The difference is that Joel's "scraps" are actually amazing lol. Mine are just random melodies I put together lol.

you are apsolutely right..somehow snowcone doesnt feel finished. this lead makes it real.i also watched this video plenty of times because of this lead. but you said it right.. hes a critical producer

Can someone tell me how he made that LFO-ish pitch tape effect in the delay?
@Oskillator7 жыл бұрын
+Benken right click the unit and select repitch
@BenkenArt7 жыл бұрын
Thanks, but how he get this slow LFO-ish pitch effect right? The delay time should be moved constantly to get this effect, but he didn't use an automation because it works as well when he stops the track. Is it possible to route an LFO to the delay time? I still don't get it. Cheers!
@BenkenArt7 жыл бұрын
After watching a tutorial of H-Delay, which Deadmau5 uses here, I found out it's a feature of this plugin. In there you can use an LFO to modulate the delay time. To recreate this with the native Ableton-Plugins, an LFO has to be routed to the sync time. I don't know how to do this yet, but it has to possible somehow…

bpc7 yeah, unlike FL Studio, in ableton, you have tracks for midi and others for audio. When you open up a new audio track it just says audio.
