Fun fact - Brad Pitt, Dolph Lundgren & Randy Orton all could've been Cable in Deadpool 2, though some actors had stronger chances than others. Brad Pitt got really close to playing Cable, but his hectic schedule only allowed him to play the three second role of Vanisher in which Brad Pitt still made $956.00. At the time, Lundgren's health concerns were probably the real reason he didn't get it, and Randy Orton said that he never got a call back.

Final fun fact - It's been rumored that Ryan Reynolds pitched to FOX that X-Force should get 5 spin off films after Deadpool 2 performed well at the box office which is the real reason why Cable chose to stay in the past. But shortly after the reviews of Deadpool 2 & X-Men: Dark Phoenix came in, Disney bought FOX and put an end to the FOX X-Men plans as it didn't line up with Bob Iger and Kevin Feige's visions for those characters. This is where Kevin Feige planted the seeds of the MCU's Multiverse Saga and finally giving the FOX franchise a true ending since he got his start as an associative producer for the first X-Men film in 2000.

Another fun fact - Apparently, if Tim Miller returned to direct Deadpool 2, one of the things he wanted to do was to have the 2015 Fantastic Four in the film. It's rumored that Miller wanted the 4 to all die in really embarrassing ways expect for Ben Grimm as he wanted Grimm to fight the Juggernaut. At the time, this idea amongst others didn't agree with Ryan Reynolds which caused Miller to leave the film. Though ironically, the embarrassing death concept would be used for X-Force, then we see Johnny Storm die in Deadpool & Wolverine. So maybe, Reynolds held on to Miller's pitch more than he initially thought.
