Deadpool and Wolverine was Wrong about their Anchor Being

None of this proves that Deadpool's universe doesn't have a Wolverine. It doesn't prove their Wolverine can't be the anchor being of that universe. First of all that misses the whole point, and secondly it just doesn't preclude that possibility even in your interpretation. It seems like the idea is that Deadpool exists in a sort of meta sense. He's not tethered to reality like everybody else. He's just sort of able to exist in a reality that can acknowledge what it wants to The big problem here is that you're taking the material literally when it wasn't designed for it. The Deadpool movies exist in that reality to an extent. But it's not like we're meant to analyze every element. Why didn't Colossus respond to the Stewart or McAvoy joke? Because he's not an audience member. The meta text is part of the narrative. It's part of the *actual* text. So it's not even metatextual in that sense. It's just textual. It's part of how you're meant to interpret the piece You clearly spent some time on this. I appreciate that you re-watched all the movies including Apocalypse, Origins, and Dark Phoenix, and obviously you took notes but you're just not coming at this from the standpoint you need to. Deadpool's reality does encompass the others, but it's seen thru a different lens. It's explicitly not meant to be taken literally. That's how it can exist in multiple realities and also create its own and that can all be valid. That's not even my opinion. That's just textual within the movies themselves

@@hezekiahramirez6965 Heya! So the point of the video was not to say that no Wolverine exists inside Deadpool’s universe. In fact, I even mentioned that in the video itself. There very well could be a Logan in this universe, and he could’ve even died similar to his multiverse counterpart. That Logan could even be the anchor being. I was just saying that it isn’t the same one from the movie “Logan”. The professor joke also isn’t something I used as evidence. I simply mentioned it because it’s an element that could’ve been evidence if responded to, but since there was no response it can’t serve as proof one way or the other. I was actually going to write into the script how Deadpool’s meta nature makes it hard to write some things off as evidence or not, but just decided not to as I didn’t want to make the video even longer. I just drew the line on not mentioning meta jokes as proof during the script writing process and called it a day (otherwise I would’ve had to talk about the Barakkapool figurine and the helacarrior at the end of Deadpool 1, but I just didn’t want to go that route as it didn’t seem right). And I also agree! Deadpool is in it’s own universe that is able to take bits and pieces of other universes. It’s what gives it this sense of freedom and uniqueness that it has over the other films. That uniqueness is also what puts it in its own universe separate from the rest. Thanks for noticing all the effort put into it! This video took a while to make, and it was tons of fun too. Like I said in the video, the MCU rules to gage different universes was never the intended route of the Fox films, but it is still a fun new way to get to look at them. Even without the MCU rules tho, the movies are all still different/changed/altered timelines/universes anyway. That’s always been part of the fun with them. The jankiness of it all is just part of the charm, and it’s something I’ll always enjoy with them. Thanks for checking out the video :D
