I'm pretty sure this is Canon as Wade has the voice bubbles in his head which means it is concurrent with the Daniel Way run on Deadpool, which was partly retconned by Gerry Duggan as he made white voice in his head madcap. so it is Canon just partly retconned as the whole madcap thing wasn't revealed until way later

I wish you would talk about Dial H from the New 52. It's a fun, creative, and compact story that was quite enjoyable. Nelson Jent turned out to be a pretty relatable guy in terms of what the average person who found a device that gives super powers would be like. I wish more people spoke about it but so far I've only found one or two videos online that really even talk about it. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who read it. T_T
