I don't think there's enough people that understand how influential this literal 2 minutes of test footage was. It's not to say these movies would have never been made in the future, but this is the reason we got Deadpool as it is the way it is and when we got it, and consequently the reason for why everything that happened fell into place the way it did following those initial successes. I feel the same way. The timing and execution of a lot of the jokes just work better here, in my opinion. I just went and watched the movie version of this scene and there is so much more empty space with just action but no jokes. My favorite here is the use of the "brown pants" joke. It felt rushed and out of place in the movie.
