You know what people never mention.. The world wasn't going to end.. the whole movie was a small personal plot.. You can make good movies without a horridly large plots. Small plots work well.

yes, WS, GOTG, Thor, Iron Man, Ant-man, all small scale and personal stories..but an avengers movie can't be small scale.. it has to be massive!! why else would y need the avengers?
@Lowlandlord5 жыл бұрын
@@sabinea.4532 GoTG was quite large scale, protecting an infinity stone and saving the planet that is home to the space police. Winter Soldier, also large scale, the "personal story" is to stop modern day Nazis from taking over the world and murdering any of the population that might disagree with them. They had personal elements mixed in, but they were very much about saving the world (or Galaxy, the name of the movie is fairly literal).

The only reason why fox didn't interfere & let them do what they wanted was because it cost 48 million, if it would've cost 100 or more then the studio would've interfered just like they did with every other comic book movie they've done (except brian singer's x-men). So this proves they need to scale down the budget on Gambit so they don't fuck him up too, Gambit's one of my favorite comic book characters.

My introduction to Ryan Reynolds was Blade: Trinity. I loved his character, the jokes, the adlibs, the action. Really, he totally threw himself into that role, working out like a madman to get into a heroic figure, giving the character the respect and attention it really needed. He and Jessica Biel really worked their butts off in the gym for that film, taking lessons in their weapons to make their characters feel like they really were skilled in using them, and it showed. In my opinion, Reynolds and Biel made that film work. Biel even got so good with the bow, that one shot actually nailed the camera dead-on in the lens. A beautiful shot, which I think may have even made it into the film (minus the lens impact). I hoped, and half expected, just from the way he treated his character in Blade:Trinity, that he would do justice to Deadpool. The results were even better than I could have imagined. Superb beyond words. God Bless Ryan Reynolds!

watching this video makes me feel nostalgic for the old days. first off Deadpool was an awesome movie. but you reminded me of the dark days before the first X-Men. I remember when 16 years old, sitting in the break room of the grocery store I worked at having an argument with a guy named Lucas Sparks( he looked exactly how his name is sounds) about who we would cast in an X-Men movie if they were ever to make one. our biggest argument was over who would play Charles Xavier. he had a list that included Ben Kingsley I think, I turn to him and said "you know who would be a great Charles Xavier?" then I started making a case for Captain Picard, then I followed it up with he'll probably never do it he's busy with Star Trek. His response to this was that he wasn't awful choice and that would never happen. I bet him fifty bucks, and I never could find them after the movie came out.

I loved Deadpool but the last two episodes have been interviews about an actor in the Dark Knight and Ant Man! We want to hear what what you and Marc think of current DC stuff too!
@Roper1229 жыл бұрын
+Nathan Lindsey Steady on... you get heaps of DC stuff. One episode on Deadpool and you lose your mind?
@Thisisntnathan9 жыл бұрын
+Roper122 nah not losing my mind lol but am disappointed that the show with Batman in the name now looks like it's headed for excess 12 days before they mention the final trailer of the next film with Batman in it. Obviously a Deadpool episode was coming, but I was voicing the opinion that sometimes they do go on for quite a while without even touching current events,which is why I brought up that the last 2 episodes were an interview with an actor who had a larger part in Ant Man than the DK, and their podcast episodes have a habit of being reruns of the KZbin channel, which is what the most recent podcast is. So I was trying to give them feedback on how lately they've fallen into a trend of just talking about comic culture in general, which is great, but when I see "Batman" in the title I go in expecting them to not take two weeks to mention Batman.
@Roper1229 жыл бұрын
***** It's never been totally Batman, but Im sure they'll get to it. It's only a bit of extra footage. All depends on whether it's a slow news week or not. Don't you think that they're going to go crazy over Batman in the next month? And come on... the guy from Dark Knight was a pretty good get. He was in Ant-Man more, but he was much more noticeable in Dark Knight.

+Nathan Lindsey sorry to butt into the conversation here but where do I go to find Kevins other content? I know about the Seesmod channel but is there another place? where is the other podcast?
@Thisisntnathan9 жыл бұрын
+Roper122 the channel has never been totally Batman but the podcast it started from used to be, so I guess I'm one of those old listeners that have to deal with the changes lol. But yeah, I agree with all your points, I was just leaving feedback on the direction I feel the show is going. They've been telling us for months "wait for the movie then we'll have tons of Batman" and I'm sure that's true, but like I said, the main thing that upset me was the lack of talking about the trailer, which again, I agree with you they will get to it, but it's only like 2 and a half minutes long so I wish they would've touched it already because a 45 minute breakdown of a short trailer makes for a boring episode and they're likely to bring up the other DC stuff I mentioned in the same show and if they're just going to Ave it as one of many topics I had hoped they would've fit it in already. This was all just my opinion lol I didn't mean for it to come off as angry or crazy

I wanted to see this when it first was released, but had to wait, saw it today. My only real complaint were the villains. There was so much development in the Wade Wilson/Deadpool storyline, which of course we have seen in another movie, even if it wasn't "canon" to this one. I thought the villains were well acted, really convincing, but there wasn't to much story on them as characters in the movie universe. I know they exist in the comics, but if you're creating a movie character you have to fully flesh it out, like the character of Wade Wilson/Deadpool was. Marvel does that well in the Avengers I would say and DC did that well in the Nolan Batman series. I suppose Colossus also had an advantage being in previous movies and shows. DC is really catching up villain wise if the Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad trailers are any indicator.

The hidden brilliance is that DeadPool breaks the fourth wall but Wade Wilson never does. All scenes of Wade Wilson pre-Deadpool pre-costume he never breaks it.

R-rated movies aren't the new thing. Kingsman, Punisher, Kick-Ass, 30 Days of Night, Blade, Watchmen, 300, Dredd, and Sin City. This was a fanboy wet dream, and not the audience. It's everyone that was in making it happen, showing that much heart into the work. Now if someone would pull Micheal Bay away from the Transformers and TMNT movies, and put a fanboy into those worlds. Because it shows that he doesn't give a fuck. The fandom will pay to watch, hell look at TF4 with how much it made and people disliked it. Look at JJ and Star Wars. He knew it wasn't just a movie, he had hopes, dreams and people's prays on his shoulders. I don't know about other comic book R-rated films to come. But I believe the X-Universe will become the stepping stone again just like X-Men did. I think McFarlane said he wanted to go R, back in the day. Now thinks it'll be easier to pitch and have a newer movie made thanks to Deadpool.
@ricosuava218 жыл бұрын
hey when Mark made the statement on the Deadpool review that Blade was the first R-rated comic book movie that's incorrect. The first EVER comic book movie R-rated was 1989's The Punisher movie starring Dolph Lundgren. Figured I just clarify that for y'all.

+The King of Queen I just see that flick as more vampire/horror than your traditional superhero. Your point is valid though, and I dig the hell out of the movie.
@CoolZero1019 жыл бұрын
+The King of Queen Funny you say that, but Blade Trinity is why Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool today. He says a Fox executive saw his scenes in Blade Trinity and called him to say that he would make a great Deadpool. Ryan did not know who Deadpool was and the first comic he read was the one that DP says he looks like a cross between Ryan Reynolds and a Shar Pei.

ive been watching pretty much all the interviews by Ryan Reynolds on deadpool and he said he plans on doing another bonus scene for the dvd with a popular cameo from someone ??? any guesses my first thought was Wolverine finally ? but if its just a bonus cameo scene ill wait till Hugh can actually show up and throw down or join Wade Wilson on a adventure.

I thought that overall this movie was pretty solid and I had a couple of good laughs but I thought that most of the humor was just childish humor with no depth to it, I feel like most of the people who thought this movie was hilarious were in middle school. No hate at all, just my opinion. Sorry if I triggered you
@DrXaOs8 жыл бұрын
but Deadpool's humor IS indeed childish with no depth!
@juansanchez2098 жыл бұрын
Most of the people who liked the movie were fans of Deadpool the character. The reason people hold the movie so high in regard is because they got Deadpool's characterization PERFECT! Deadpool is childish, so it would make no sense for the movie to be filled with intelligent or subtle humor. I understand and respect your opinion, but I'm just trying to explain why everyone loved the movie.
