Fun fact: This was the 2nd time Ryan Reynolds played Deadpool. This first one was a total travesty against the character in a Wolverine film. So Ryan, himself, had to lobby to get this movie- a faithful version of the character from the comics- made. That included making a one-shot of the car fight scene for no reason. It then conveniently got "leaked" (many people think Ryan secretly released it himself). The internet exploded. Marvel saw, and green-lit the movie. It was 2nd on the list of rated R movies that made the most money for a long time.

Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool. There is no one else who could be Deadpool, just like there's no one else who could play Ironman like RDJ. I love this movie. The sequel is good too. I'm so excited for Deadpool and Wolverine!! I'm happy you picked something for you, Chuu and it is a fabulous choice.

Loving this reaction! And what you were thinking of is 'Breaking the 4th wall.' When a character in a movie/tv show/comic, etc looks/speaks directly to the audience/reader. Deadpool was known for this in the comics.

Definitely watch Deadpool 2, it's even better than the first one, AND it has Zazie Beetz! These movies are also impeccable at creating side characters, Deadpool 2 gives you even more of them! I would watch the X-Men movies for sure, because without giving too much away, the knowledge of those films will help you appreciate Deadpool 3 when it comes out later this year. Lastly I want to recommend you 2 action movies to react to: Upgrade and Law Abiding Citizen.

breaking the fourth wall, think of a stage as having a back wall and two side walls, 3, and the imaginary one between the actors and the audience is the 4th so when they see through it to recognize the audience, or communicate with the audience, that's breaking through that imaginary wall that usually prevents the actors from knowing the theater audience exists.

OMG! I watched this in the theaters when it came out. I loved it haven't seen it in a while and I haven't seen the second one. Ryan ate this role up. I love the fourth wall break when he looks at us. Also I love that this movie was rated R before Disney bought Marvel. If you're looking for an action franchise, I strongly recommend John Wick. Nobody is another great movie with a John Wick feel (because it has the same writers). Animation: Soul, Moana, Howl's Moving Castle, Up, Wall-E. (This isn't my genre, so I don't have anything beyond the most obvious) I don't mind if you reach out beyond horror. You do what you want! I'll edit if I think of any other movies to recommend.
