+Zac Hughes Wasn't a big fan of the movie, it had to many jokes to the point where it took away from the plot. The movie was funny but some of the jokes were too sexual, and i am not going to be laughing like i am in elementary school over sexual jokes. The action was good but lacked it, didn't like that he used the 4th wall too much to go into flash backs in the middle of an action sequence, only to tell the story. In addition, he used way to many swears. This is my un-biased opinion, i liked the movie but not one of my favorites, looking forward to batman v superman and civil war.
@sporehux83448 жыл бұрын
+thecomingofchrisit0 The movie was near pure fan service, to other fans like me it was not quite juvenile/ 4th wall breaking enough to exemplify deadpool, it's astonishing the general public has taken such a liking to the character, the box office and reviews show that they found the near perfect balance of mainstream appeal vs authenticity.

Watched it Last night in IMAX... This film is beyond amazing. My personal favourite 4th wall break was when Colossus tells deadpool *"Im taking you to the professor"* and he replies *"Which one? McAvoy or Stewart"* !! Lool I can not believe how perfect this film is in being meta and breaking the 4th wall... The are literally soo many funny and amazing moments. -The Cab driver and Deadpools relationship is fricking awesome, And I am willing to bet serious money he will be in the sequel and pretty much every Deadpool movie in the future. - T.J Miller as Weasel perfection! You can just feel all the improvised lines between him and -Ryan Reynolds- Wade Wilson. -Colossus was amazing as the follow through to X-men. Love how he's the polar opposite to Deadpool, he's a boy scout type doesn't even like Deadpool swearing. - 12 Bullets, need I say more. and so much more... I need to see this again!

it was indeed some kind of helicarrier but it wasn't anything like the one from either Avengers or Winter Soldier. it looked old, smaller and the engines look like 50s era jet engines.
@walleytvhd2598 жыл бұрын
+ravissary79 It was not the "exact"same one as it was there as just a joke from another film but the damage to it was consistent to what happened to the 3 helicarriers in CA:WS plus 2 X-men were in Age of Ultron so there is some cross-over of universes. They made Robocop jokes too so there was crossover everywhere in Deadpool. Deadpool was a low budget film so no way they would blow the budget on one set. They did make the production budget back in one day ($60 Million and are on track to set records the bigger $200 million Marvel films make) so we will get better sets in the sequel.
@wraithflaire16398 жыл бұрын
+MrsRCharlton yes it wasn't the helicarrier. But it was supposed to give the impression that it was. Which it did. Deadpool is a part of the marvel and x-man universes. Back drop of the "helicarrier" was them connecting the universes without officially connecting them to avoid a law suit. The back drop itself was a humorous meta joke.

100% of the scenes where Reynolds is wearing the mask is 10/10 but overall I give the movie a 7/10. Campea oversold the movie honestly. I didn't buy into the love story nearly as much as these guys seemed to have, they hyped morena's character as the non cliche damsel in distress yet that's exactly what she was in the end. Most jokes made me smile but only like 20% had me laughing out loud. Some jokes were kinda dumb and could've been done without. This character NEEDS to be in the final wolverine movie. FOX has never had a bigger opportunity to put two beloved characters together. Deadpool can be huge if you put him in the pg-13 movies but make no mistake Deadpool centered movies must STAY RATED R.

I think you're giving way to much credit to Fox. This is a movie that was willed into existence by the people behind it. The fact that it really didn't start to get going until the CGI trailer "leaked" should tell you something. On the other hand Fox the studio promised us Deadpool with Origins and told it's fans to go see it multiple times if you want to see a Deadpool film and a lot of them did...and they're only know getting the movie they were promised.

I thought Ant Man was a better and funnier movie than Deadpool. Deadpool was edgy, but felt sophmoric and dumb in its edginess. It felt a lil forced. The movie was fine, the action was fun, there were a few funny moments, but jesus christ this movie is overrated.

I think the Mutant Genes were more of a reference to X2. Bobby's dad carried the mutant gene and passed it on to Bobby without being a mutant himself. Wade Wilson had latent mutant genes (which he would have passed on to his kids), but they ended up triggering them by making his physique evolve into something that can handle that kind of stress or to get him out of it.

another thing - they don't HAVE to make deadpool swear all the time, they can still put him in other Xmen movies without being to vulgur, while STILL making other R films with him. you don't always want the comedy and 4th wall breaking to take away from the story- for instance serious characters like apocalypse.

Just added Deadpool to my FlickChart account thingy and after plugging it into my running tally of favored films, it landed in 23rd place. Had to think for a moment when I compared it to Rashomon, but it barely beats it. Deadpool doesn't beat the first Die Hard for me, but that was a tough call. FlickChart says I'd give Deadpool a 9.8 out of 10. I just saw it tho. Just saw the movie for the first time today and I was able to pick up on that a year had passed from when he became deadpool to the present time of the movie, because it was stated somewhere in there by I think deadpool. While I don't personally buy into the whole murder spree/Find Francis mission taking a year to do, it was a way of showing the passage of time in that particular area of the movie in a way that suited the movie.

My only gripe with the movie, which I loved, was that Vanessa wasn't called Copycat once...sand to answer the mutant power manifesting from the end of the video...Wade was in the Weapon X program, which was run by the military and injected with a serum to force a mutation, which is how he ends up with Wolverine's healing factor.

I personally had read the script when it originally leaked. And now after seeing the movie it was really interesting to see how it was adapted into reality. And I did originally think that the constant back and forth between the present and past would be a little jumbled, but it worked perfect in the film. but the writer's of the script are responsible for a lot of the style of the film. There was more humor in the actual film than in the original script though.

When Francis was injecting wade with the serum to unlock his mutant abilities he also injected a yellow liquid that looked like it had blood inside. I think they'll possibly touch upon it being wolverines blood in the future. I give it 10/10. I saw it twice opening night.

it was also fitting that the glass tube the put him in to kick start his power is a great tribute to Ryan Reynolds for Buried.

My problems with the movie were: a touch too many references to music, movies and pop culture; so much so that a few jokes fall flat. The villains were underdeveloped and the run time could have been stretched so the pacing could be a little more balanced.

Having the X-Gene trigger at times of extreme stress was canon in the 616 universe, so I'm cool with them introducing it.

One of my favorite jokes, at the final battle with Francis: "Fists then." "Like your last Saturday."

yes i want Cable in the sequel but i also want Colossus and "the teenage girl" back, they were on point, and maybe another one or two additions on the team. And i wouldn't mind if they continue after the organization behind this project.

They didn't ret-con the mutant gene. In the movie they had that serum that could transform anyone into a mutant with the help of adrenaline torture. We also got a little more of the organization that they are transforming sick soldiers into sell able slaved weapons for the highest bidder.

28:30 I thought they injected the mutant gene into Wayde and the the way they found to activate it was to stress the person out and often cases it takes extreme torture. Being that the person is not worth anything if not a mutant, they would go as far as to kill a person if they are not mutating. In Waydes case, Francis was pleased with the thought of torturing him to death.

The only movie I can think of where the climactic action set piece includes "You're the Inspiration" by the great Chicago

One thing that wasn't touched on was where Deadpool's ability to break the 4th wall came from. Is that a power he had as Wade Wilson before coming Deadpool or is that a mutant ability?

I love how finally they used the white eyes properly.

One of my favorite lines was when Weasel said like, "Hey have fun on your premiere of Blade 2" to Ajax and Angel.

Deadpool is my favorite SuperHero Movie. Only one nitpick that I had. When Deadpool cuts off his hand, he leaves his swords behind and falls into a dump truck. When he gets out of the Dump truck his swords magically appear again. But it is still my favorite SuperHero Movie.

I do want to mention the costume sequence they did, that to me felt like time was passing, it seemed like a year. He went to see his girl, didn't, then went to Weasel. Time passes, he's trying to find Ajax to fix him and he gets the costume. Then it goes back to just trying to contact her again. I also was trying to understand how the place Deadpool burned down was. Seemed like there's something more to it, and if Ajax's actually intended to inject Wade with the healing factor. Creating said Super Slave even though he did say he was going to "unlock" his mutation. On a final note something I wanted them to do was to play the "Deadpool Rap" at the final credits, but they didn't, I think it would have helped to maintain the final not they hit with the ending. It's Deadpool's movie and I would have loved that.

Schnepp is amazing at predicting stuff. He was right on the nose with the Cable announcement for the 2nd post credits scene.

They sorta did mention who the bad guys were working for in the movie, although it was not explicitly spelled out for the casual movie goer. Deadpool had a conversation with, "Bob, Agent of Hydra" in the hellicarrier scene. Implying that they were working on behalf of Hydra, without stating it, because Fox doesn't have the rights. However, this could just be wishful thinking on my part.

I think they were mutating his mutant gene more. Simply because he was on the team of mutants with Wolverine. His ability with swords was prior to him becoming Deadpool. Then the team that was supposed to be mutating him further is Stryker.

I dont think the movie itself was as unique as people are saying. Deadpool the character is unique but Ive seen the plot before in plenty of movies. The enemies were boring and I found myself being bored with some of the origin scenes. Wish they would have shortened some of the origin and had more present Deadpool action. Pretty good film though. Could have been great and I feel that the second movie will be better cause they dont have to include the origin story.
