Here’s a problem I realized (once again) when people go see comedy movies. Specially comedies like Deadpool that like to make fun of other things. A lot of people have trouble reading the room when they’re on another room. Deadpool movies make fun of the fox movies, but the behind the scene footage in the credits was clearly a love letter to those movies. I even teared up watching that. And putting the 20th century logo at the end of it not only payed homage to their superhero movies, but everything great that studio gave us for decades. It was a way for Disney to say “we know we didn’t just bought a studio, we bought an historical piece of everyone’s life and cinema itself”. And in my theater half the people laughed as if Disney was taking the piss at fox. This made me think once again that if people go to the theater knowing they should laugh they’ll laugh, even if they’re just assuming they should. I mean, the fox logo after celebrating the fox movies with time of your life playing over it? Who tf is taking that as a sick burn?

Going into it, I knew they had an homage to the entire Fox Marvel era in the credits, so before I even watched the film, I knew that I could only play one song during the car ride home: How Far We've Come by Matchbox Twenty. Also, it has been a great year for the X-Men because of this, X-Men '97, and the new Ultimate X-Men comics, which while not as good and not getting as much attention as the new Ultimate Spider-Man comics are still solid. Finally, since I'm a Spider-Man fan I like to joke "Well the movie wasn't perfect because it was written by Zeb Wells, but it wasn't bad since he was only one of four writers and wasn't the head writer." If you can't tell I'm not a massive fan of Zeb Wells, and this might surprise you but there are few people who I despise more I've been trying to get Nick Lowe to block me for over half a year now but since he's a troll (and trolls don't try and prevent reactions, try just encourage them), all my attempts have been in vain. Sorry if I got sidetracked but since I'm a Spider-Man fan I take any opportunity I get to hate on Zeb Wells and Nick Lowe. 9:53 The earth-616 caption will never not piss me off (same thing with the MCU getting called Earth-616 in Multiverse of Madness), because, in the official Marvel handbook, it clearly states the MCU is Earth-199999 and they just threw that out the window to make some comic fans wet their pants, even though it doesn't make any sense because now there are two earth-616 universes.

There were a lot of moments I laughed at, the chemistry between Reynolds and Jackson is great, some enjoyable multiverse characters showed up, there was some nice emotion in the story, and while I wouldn’t say it’s on the level of the first two films, I dug the soundtrack. Had so much fun with this movie that it was hard to pick a favorite moment . I was cheering and laughing so hard at the Chris Evans cameo. Easily one of the best marvel movies since Endgame, hands down!!❤️💛🔥

I feel like the only person who thought of Oldboy during the fight of the Deadpool’s.

It was incredibly funny and was much more entertaining than it did make sense lol But it did the member berries so well I can’t be mad. Seeing all the cameos done so well and another genuinely impressive performance from Jackman elevated the film so much. “There’s only ever been one blade! there's only ever going to be one Blade…” Favourite quote of the whole movie haha 😂

I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Saw it like, two and a bit hours ago, and I absolutely loved it. Me and my friends were trying to work out our favourite lines on the drive home. Probably the Chris Evans monologue at the end

While there may be a few elements that might be used in future MCU movies, this movie felt more like a tribute/poking fun at the 20th Century Fox/New Line era of Marvel movies. It was less of a MCU chapter in their saga and more of a closing of the book of 20th Century Fox. And I dug it. It roasted Fox, but it was also respectful. Having the cameo characters be trapped in the Void made perfect sense. While I did think the ending was predictable and anti-climatic, I did have a hell of a lot of fun with it.

Gambit is one of my favorite x-men and i was unsure about Channing when he was announced to be Gambit back in 2013-14 but after seeing it I’d take more. 😂

I wonder if the "higher-up" that has plans for Deadpool is K.E.V.I.N. from She-Hulk. I mean, the movie is self-referential that the timelines being pruned are making way for the series that Disney will now be incorporating into the MCU, but we know Disney wants to keep Reynolds' Deadpool while pruning the rest. So, in-universe, I'm wondering if K.E.V.I.N., the AI who seems to be officially in charge of the story and timeline, actually has some kind of influence on the TVA that we haven't seen yet, and maybe will never see.

My brother has amnesia. Lost his job. My mom wants me to get him out of the house more, so I'm going to take him to some movies. Imagine going to D & W having "never" seen a movie nor tv show. He wouldn't get it at all.
