Yeah, I thought it was weird how they tried to cut him off before they could tell he was gonna put words in Johnny’s mouth. 16:54 that's Pyro, and he was in the first three Fox x-men movies... he started as one of Xavier's students at the mansion, and in part 2 there was a scene with him sitting next to magneto and he said he can only manipulate fire, but can't create it (as he fiddled with a cigarette lighter). Magneto said he's a god among ants and asked, "what's your *_real_* name?" and he answered Pyro. Other memorable scenes with him was when he was at iceman's house and the police showed up, he said, "you know those bad mutants you hear about on TV? Well, I'm the worst of them." Then he threw fire at cop cars until Rogue grabbed his leg and drained his power.

Also the reason he's called the Wolverine is because he's a short guy but he's strong and ferocious. A wolverine is an animal that is known for their ferocity and strength and can kill animals that are many times larger than them.

This film was absolutely beyond incredible. I’ve seen the movie three times. This was easily the most excited I had been for a movie in a long, long, long time, maybe since No Way Home or Endgame. Seeing Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman on the big screen as these characters for the first time was always gonna be a dream come true and they did not disappoint. From beginning to end, it was one of the most entertaining and fun cinema experiences I’ve ever had. From the beginning with the scene when Wade kills all of those TVA agents with the other Logan’s skeleton and as it kept going to seeing Happy and then Wade getting taken and beginning to go to the other universes looking for a Wolverine was also insane, especially when we saw Henry Cavill. Then seeing Wade and Logan interact in the Void was amazing to see and their fight was another amazing bit of action. Then when we saw Chris Evans, just like everyone else, we all thought it was a version of Cap only to see it was Johnny, which was an amazing use of that opportunity and an amazing fake-out and Cassandra killing him was so gory in the best possible way. As it kept going with seeing Nicepool and Dogpool was another amazingly hilarious scene and the fight scene between Wade and Logan in the car was so amazingly choreographed and hilarious but also kinda sad at the same time. Then, seeing the other mind blowing cameos like Blade, Elektra, Gambit and Laura was just the tip of the iceberg in terms of mind blowing cameos, especially since they made fun of how Channing Tatum never got his Gambit movie released. It was also great to see Dafoe Keen return as Laura too and she was also fantastic again as she was seven years ago. When they got to Cassandra, it was nice we got to see them not kill her and see her help them briefly. Then, easily, my favourite moment in the whole film was when they got back and began to fight the many other versions of Deadpool and we finally get to see Wolverine with his mask on. When that happened, me and my entire theatre just erupted with cheering and the actual fight was amazing. Even before it started, them making fun of the mishandling of the Multiverse Saga was the most perfect Deadpool fourth wall break they could have done. Them stopping Cassandra and that Paradox guy thinking they were dead was also amazing. The actual ending with all of them together was also the perfect way to wrap it up, especially during the credits showing behind the scenes footage of the FOX movies, which I feel was a nice send off to those films. The entire film overall was just the most perfectly handled thing they could have done. The music and songs as well made a lot of these scenes seem super funny but also really epic and adrenaline pumping too, which made that opening scene and the fight with all the Deadpools even more enjoyable. I was just so hyped for this film and it blew all my expectations away. Seeing all these characters back, especially Wolverine interacting with Deadpool was everything I needed and this is one of the most passionate things I’ve seen in a long time. You absolutely feel the love and passion everyone involved is giving with every frame of the film. I can’t wait to see it again. I can’t wait for you to make your list of your favourite comic book movies of all time.

You’re missing out on X-Men ‘97! You GOTTA check that one out at least. It’s not just one of the best post-Endgame projects, but one of the best things to ever come out of Marvel. The original 90s animated series it’s based on was already good, but this was another level in terms of seriousness & animation, plus it caters to a more adult audience, like the people who grew up watching the OG. Similar to Spider-Verse, it has actual heart & stakes, plus it’s getting a LOT of fans into comics. It handles certain characters/arcs better, like Cyclops, who was done dirty by FOX. I HIGHLY recommend you start a reaction series on it. I liked Deadpool & Wolverine, but when it comes to the writing, I even put X-Men ‘97 over this. Trust me. It’s a MUST-WATCH for superhero fans!

Yes, Wolverine is like 5'3" in the comics, which is why he's called Wolverine. Real wolverines are members of the weasel family, about the size of a small dog and are known for their outsized aggression relative to their small stature. The Glam Rock Wolverine is from the Age of Apocalypse series, and the one crucified on the X is the cover of Uncanny X-Men #251. Patch is his alias he uses when he goes undercover in swanky places. I always really liked Tyler Mane's Sabretooth way better than Liev Schreiber. I also get why Channing Tatum wanted to be Gambit, but he's just too beefy to pull off the look really. Gambit is tall and lanky, and Channing's just too jacked imo. I thought Taylor Kitsch had a better look to him for the role.

Yeah bro, I don't mean to be harping or criticizing, but you definitely need to go back and watch the 20th Century Fox Marvel properties before watching this movie again. This movie, beyond being a huge Meta Reference to all of those movies, is a love letter, a send off. And I just feel like you not even knowing about so many of these older Marvel property movies that were done by 20th Century Fox is leaving a lot left in this movie that you just couldn't enjoy or understand. I would highly, highly recommend going back and watching the original Fantastic Four, the original X-Men movies, the Blade movies, and several others, before watching this movie again. It makes this movie so much more enjoyable being able to pick up on all the references and emotional beats that are based upon nostalgia for these movies.

The people who jump on the hate Marvel bandwagon have not seen most of the movies since Endgame, can't think for themselves, and are just parroting other shit-talk they've seen online because it agrees with their angry and frustrated politics. Phase 4 and Phase 5, taken as a whole (including all the Disney + shows) were both superior to Marvel Phase 2. They just are. Maybe not quite as great as Phase 3; but arguably just as good as Phase 1. Phase 2 is still the weakest Marvel phase. Endgame and Infinity War were amazing and damn near perfect, sure, but that doesn't make every other movie that came before them the same quality. And you can't have movies that reach that bar come out all the time. It's impossible. It took a decade of prep work to get to the point where the payoffs in Endgame would hit as hard as they did. Which is what they've been trying to do since then... more prep work... but idiot haters out there expect everything since Endgame to be as good as Endgame? Captain Marvel is arguably *the worst* MCU movie. And it came out right smack dab in the middle of Phase 3... supposedly the golden age of the MCU when it could do no wrong. You can't cherry pick your data and say it was all great before and all shit now... that doesn't make any sense. You need to account for the fact that the worst Marvel movie ever came out between Infinity War and Endgame, and admit, yeah, there have always been ups and downs... but on average... it was good then... and is still good now... The Marvels, Black Panther, Thor: The Dark World, and Thor: Love and Thunder round out the rest of the bottom five worst MCU movies. One of those is from Phase Five, one is from Phase Four, another is from Phase Three, and one is from Phase Two... there is no pattern here of the weaker films being back loaded... they are more or less evenly spread. Love & Thunder had it's problems, for sure. But it was way more entertaining than the dour nearly unwatchable Thor the Dark World. Black Widow was a bit of a let down versus the potential it had... but it was still less of a misfire than Iron Man 3. Wakanda Forever was not nearly as overrated as it's predecessor and it wasn't nominated for Best Picture... but it was objectively a better movie. Phases 4 and 5 saw Spider-Man: No Way Home... which is, easily, one of the MCU's top 5 best films of all time and for my money it sits comfortably in the top 3. We also saw Guardians 3 which was arguably the best Guardians movie. We saw season one and two of Loki, which were simply exceptional- Loki's arc might be the single best in the entire MCU. We saw WandaVision, which was amazing and revelatory in how fresh and creative it was. We saw Hawkeye and Moon Knight and The Falcon & the Winter Soldier, which were all great, super solid, consistently entertaining and well-made peak television. We saw Shang-Chi, which most people agreed was a very solid origin story pic. We saw Eternals, which everyone I watched it with loved and is now hands down the most underrated and overlooked movie in the MCU (a title previously held by Hulk). We saw Deadpool & Wolverine, which was phenomenal fan service, just what everyone said they wanted, but still somehow not enough to shut up the spiteful haters. Were there problems with Quantumania? Sure. Could Multiverse of Madness been better? Sure. Was there one cringe moment out of the entire series in She-Hulk? Yeah. Was Secret Invasion very disappointing and drag a bit especially toward the end? Uh huh. Okay. Whatever. You could say the same things about The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Age of Ultron, or the first Captain America and Thor movies. To date, do you know what the *highest* rated MCU project, film or television, is over at Rotten Tomatoes? It's Mrs. Marvel... I mean personally I think the show was overrated... but... that's a fact. Can't argue with the raw data. I also personally think X-Men '97 was super *super* overrated... but... a lot of fans dug it. Same goes for What If seasons one and two. Anyway the point is you can find stuff that everyone likes. It's not even hard. The latest Disney Plus series is Agatha All Along... which... has been great. I've been watching it with my mom; we're both super into it. Predictably... the f'ing pathetic incels online are ripping it apart, most of them have never watched a single episode. Because... reasons? It has chicks in it, I guess. I feel sorry for them. What a pathetic and sad existence... their livelihood depends on hating everything. Anyway... this cliché regurgitated half baked hate of MCU post phase 3 is already super tired and old... stop repeating it. It does not hold up to even the flimsiest scrutiny.

Nah, I haven't been excited for a marvel movie since the whole endgame saga

Thank you for articulating the main idea here, I’ve been stewing on how to say it myself. I certainly don’t agree with all the finer points presented, but couldn’t agree more with the overall message.
