There's a lot of millenial music across rock spectrum that didn't get its recognition and financial success because of the entire music industry collapsing when all these millennials were supposed to launch into space. Linkin Park, Limp Biskit, Korn, those Gen X bands were the last generation to cash in on massive profits from CD sales fueled by a thriving ecosystem or simbiosis between radio and Mtv before their demise when the iPod, iTunes, and online streaming cripled record labels, record stores disappeared, people stopped listening to the radio and rock stations stopped playing new bands, record stores at the mall closed forever, Mtv stopped playing music videos, the CD became obsolete inf favor of streaming which was not monetizable for artists; it all happened right when all these millennials were coming out of high school. The transitional muddy waters of 2005-2012 swallowed a lot of millennial talent. I'm happy to see Emily have survived that long journey, and just like a rising tide lifting all boats, more people are here enjoying DeadSara.

​​@@michtig Thank you for your insights. While those could have been a factor but Dead Sara actually chose not to sign to a label that could have helped (or not) to be known to more people. That was their choice to have more creative freedom to do what they love. But of course it came with risks such as not being known mainstream. I just found out about them and I couldn't get enough of their music. I have always loved rock music so I am so upset as well that I only found them just now. But better late than never 😊

Maaan, I’ll never base my opinion on what others say and the more I go through this bands discography, the more opposite Emily comes across from what the haters keep spewing. I’ll never know her personally so I can’t say outright how she feels, but I just hope she knows she has a family for life with the true LP fans. Talent-wise, the fact she can go from covering RATM - to this amazing song - to fronting Linkin Park is phenomenal. Such a talent.

Very rarely do you come across a song that just hangs in your head for weeks and months or years and never goes dry. So I added it to my "Rare Few" list on my phone. Where it shares a *permanent* spot with other lyrically perfect songs with uniquely gifted musicians accompaniment that lift it to amazing heights. Also the video really does help the song too. It's inviting, yet feels private at the same time. Like we shouldn't be in the same room as it's being recorded. It's Breathtaking. .. every single time I hear it.

I really like her performance with Dead Sara. I think that with Linkin Park she was focusing a lot on the singing technique which is normal, but it robs a bit of the emotion that we can see in here. I think with time she will be as comfortable and confident with LP as well.

LP songs at the time were written with chester's voice in mind. It's natural she'll have a slight difficulty adjusting to them. But, she's still done a phenomenal job to play for 2 hours straight on a live stage. She's an excellent pick.
