@Gary Miller I guess the biggest difference is the approach for this record. This record is a lot more extroverted and influenced by philosophy than most dsbm or 'torturous' black metal. A little hard to judge off this track but we felt like it needed to be previewed a little. I get the same with the black metal look if we're talking visuals. Sometimes I see Marduk thumbnails pop up and do a double take thinking it's me or Rhys. We departed from traditional corpsepaint for a while for this very reason but then I guess just decided that we didn't care and we'd just go back to doing what we felt expressed the art in the most genuine fashion. What i'm saying is it's an understandable comparison (I mean there's an Advent patch on my jacket), I'd take it more of a compliment to have comparisons drawn on a great band rather than something lackluster. - Chris.
