Fuck, it finally happened. I've waited for this for ten years. The melody is so obviously Phil, it gives me flashbacks and a sense of nostalgia from years and years of listning to Phil's short bits. I think Mike holds up his end with the vocals, but ultimately for me, Phil's guitar is the main focus of this song. It feels like the vocals are just there to back him up. This suits me really well as a fan of Phil's work, but I think you can play around with the vocals vs guitar thing you've got going on a lot more. At 02:40 it all blends into a glorious melodic death-fest and makes the rest of the song pale in comparison. Phil, Mike, and the rest of you, well done. Now do it again.
