Nice one son, but I was disappointed that there was a lack of whale music. 😡😡 The pointless pocket on the passenger side is where scania fit an optional extra pull out table. The scania bad back is from the old model trucks. Not these new next gen!!!

Had a good day yesterday, I got in the warehouse straight and in position first time. Then parked the trailer spot on in its bay between two other trailers first time. It never happens lol. I'm 4 weeks into my first hgv job and done 2 weeks now on my own. A good sign I think is that I'm instinctively turning the wheel as though I have a trailer when I'm just in the unit. Earlier this week I blind sided in our yard between two trailers into a bay first time. Thing is I know next week I probably won't be able to reverse anywhere 😲

These new Scanias sound pretty nice, my company have bought some new P450s which I guess will be the same engine.Good to see the roof mounted camera returning, reminds me of the days when you were doing the builders merchant work with Big N Daft! Maybe see if you can drop the camera down a bit more but it's a great view out.

It's crazy how nice the cabs are in these newer lorries. I drive buses for a living and they are shockingly bad, the heating and or air conditioning doesn't even work half the time and because we don't have are own individual buses some of the drivers are very rough with them so they are in bad shape. Nothing worse than getting into a bus on a winters day with it blowing cold air 😭🥶

30 mins mate not 45
@adamnalex4 жыл бұрын
@@stephengreen9663 as far as I'm aware mate tachos are set to recognise the first 45 minutes on POA as a break. It's mainly used for double manning operations but the tacho will still class it on a single man operation.
@chrisbohane27063 жыл бұрын
I may have missed other bits of this thread but.... The only way to show a break in the UK is to select bed in the tacho. Only when you are double manned does the first 45 mins of POA, after a card change, count as a break.

The night panel button (which on cars is unique to Saabs) blacks out all the dash lamps and dials except the speedo, it’s an aircraft thing. As Scania used to be part of the same group as Saab I’m guessing that’s what the night button is for.

Another good video mate, I've been watching your videos for the last few months whilst I prepared to take my class 2 practical test. Yesterday was my test and I buggered it half hour into the drive with a dangerous fault 😂 😂 😂 Roundabouts are a curse. Now I've got to decide whether to attempt the test again after already sinking £1500 into this training or walk away and learn something else

@magpieminto48564 жыл бұрын
@@Nick-7432 thanks mate, my problem is that I've not had a car licence 2 years yet so I'm a relatively new driver so my forward planning isn't brilliant and I struggle reading roundabouts well enough to get a huge slow truck on and round without getting in people's way lol. Roundabouts have always been my weak point but I passed my cat b test first time with a few minors so I put myself under massive pressure to pass the cat c first time too. Silly thing to do ha ha

@@magpieminto4856 You will get there mate. We were all learners at some point. Might be worth while trying to find an ex hgv driving instructor for a car. Might sound daft but it's much cheaper ie the lessons and he can advise as if you were in a hgv.
