Hello, Mr. Lorne Farovitch, So that I have B.A. in double-majors of Biology and Chemistry from Gallaudet University with Class of 1981 as I am highly proficient in computer system in computer literacy. At Gallaudet University as the college student, I took General Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Genetics with other required Biology courses as I took more Chemistry courses in a fact. In my D'Auria Family, my late paternal grandmother and my late paternal uncle who was a family physician with his M.D. & Ph.D. degrees had told me that her 3 sisters and 18-months old baby daughters all, were died in 1918 pandemic over the world. Dr. Salk, the pioneer at University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa. successfully developed polio vaccination in 1953. In a fact, I was almost 7 years old on December 1957 as I was grounded at home because of Hong-Kong flu as I was not allowed to attend the school for the deaf in Pittsburgh, Pa. under orders of my late paternal uncle as my family physician until I fully recovered in second week of January 1958 as my mother took her care of me at home under instructions from him. As the college student at Fashion Institute of Technology at SUNY in NYC, NY, my hard-of-hearing brother almost had Hong-Kong flu in 1969. Well, I really know about SARS in Far-East (China and other Asian nations), and MRES in Middle-Eastern nations before. Then I honest acknowledge that China finally has made cover-ups about true death rates in Wuhun Province as it doesn't tell truth to CDC in USA, Canada, and other nations in Asia and Europe. Bats in caves do carrying many different strains of species of viruses to carry zoonotic diseases including novel coronavirus (Eq. 2019-nCOV ). In a fact these are genetic mutations in different species of virus in generations in developments. Historically, there was "Black Plague" in Europe in 14 th and 15 th Centuries as 2/3 of European population perished however, European Jews practiced in good hygine habits and in good sanitary habits in Torah teachings in a fact. Christa D'Auria

***CLARIFICATION: The figure of a 10% chance of dying from the flu is based on “all-time” since the Spanish Flu. The CDC estimates that there will be a 0.1% chance of dying from the flu in the 2019-2020 season with 31M probable cases and approximately 30,000 deaths.

Thank you for that objective perspective on the subject! I want to add: be polite and considerate and always cough/sneeze into your arm. This helps prevent spreading of any kind of virus. And, while it's great that we have the CDC and technology, you need to take control of your own health. Sugar consumption suppresses immune function. Get it out of your diet. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables daily, as they contain phytonutrients and vitamin C that help boost immune function. And so on.
