Very good review! I have been using my Cobra 3 for the past few weeks and love it. I purchased the foot pedal model and I will probably pick up the other base so I can use it in all situations. One plus to getting the other base is getting another quick release plate that works in the iFootage quick release system.

Great monopod. I have a cobra 2 and Inpurchase a new 3 base with the larger feet and football.

Hi Deaf Director, I’ve got this setup and agree with everything you said in this video. If others can afford it, get both base as I did so when you need to go to hi hat, just remove the K5S and slot onto the other regular base. And if you need more range than the pedal, move the monopod to the regular base. If you have the Cobra 2 monopod, both new base can be used. The only con I would say that I don’t see mentioned is the K5S has a lot of friction so if you want to pan, you need to put some force to it and you can’t loosen or adjust the tension. The tilt tension can be adjusted for more or less tension though.

Mine just arrived today and I have to agree with you it was worth the money. Didn't go with the Komodo head as I am a still shooter with an L bracket so just added a Kirk plate and away I go.
