he seems very comfortable talking specifically about the lyrics, line for line. i really admire that.

it feels kind of weird that those very dark, substantive last lines come from a jokey, flirtatious text conversation

MrPBarlow kind of weird, but kind of beautiful. this whole album is about finding beauty in the simple, odd things.

I've been listening to Deafheaven "Dream House" for a year. To me, it represented my freedom from dependence/drugs. It's awesome to get confirmation that this is exactly what this song is about. :)

I know I’m late to the party but been listening to dream house since its release. I’m pretty sure the slipping of the gloves line is an OJ reference. lol

I can't believe I haven't seen this before. Full shivers listening to him describe the origins of those lines.

"I want to dream" I teared up when I went back and listened to this song on repeat trying to understand the vocals, then reading the lyrics on Genius or wherever stunned me. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it I don't understand any of the lyrics these vocalists spew out but I just fucking felt those lines at the end, I couldn't explain it.

The description lists Sunbather as Deafheaven's debut album, which is not the case.
