I studied at Deakin University and lived on the Burwood campus as well at student housing. I was an international student from Canada and I quickly adapted to my new surroundings. I loved everything about living there and studying abroad. Amazing teachers, students and campus. The University itself is a tram ride away from the beach, downtown Melbourne or shopping centres. I definitely would love to go back there and visit!

Deakin Uni also has Medicine course. The course is offered at there Geelong (Waurn Ponds) Campus which is about 2 hours away from Melbourne.

Hello Po, I am not too sure. Pero mayron silang ibang mga amenities for fitness and sports, not sure sa pool. But there are pools everywhere outside the campus for the public to use for both fitness and casual use.

It will depend on the course as Deakin is one of the few Universities that offer trimesters. Meaning students have 3 semesters instead of the usual 2. So they might have fewer intakes compared to other Universitiesm

Hi there, Both campuses are far from the city. I find Deakin slightly accessible because it has a tram stop right infront of its campus in Burwood that will take you straight to the city centre of Melbourne, it is about 40 mins. Social life, Melbourne in general has a great quality of life. Both Unis are doing great in world rankings, Deakin though is slowly taking its place in the rankings. Each have strength and pros and cons. I guess it depends upon what course you are going to study. Example, if you want Medicine, La trobe does not offer it. If you want Podiatry, Deakin does not offer it. Good luck.
