On demand services spoils us with way cheaper prices. It's hard going back to a live service when your premium price is 20 dollars monthly

Signed up for this and notice slightly better pic quality and noticably better audio quality! Going to go w their entertainment package plus sports add-on (no RSNs), promo cost is $56/mo for 3 months then it goes to $95. At that point will decide whether to keep or go back to YTTV (which i think will also hike price as Hulu live TV just did).

Do they still charge a "regional sports fee"? That's why I left them in 2022, I don't watch sports. Are they like cable and charge a "broadcast fee" for local channels? What is their definition of a "new customer"? Good price if it wasn't for the added fees.

DIRECTV STREAM *does not* charge a regional sports fee or broadcast TV fee. It didn't charge those fees in 2022 either. However, DIRECTV and DIRECTV via Internet *do* charge those extra fees. If you don't watch local regional sports then I recommend getting the Entertainment Package for $49.99 after the 3 month deal it's $79.99. the price you see is the price you get billed no extra fees. And I think as long as it's been over one year since you cancelled your original DirecTV account you get the deal.

Originally they said 9/5, but now the fine print says limited time only. My guess is they'll pull it early because it has been so popular. The free trial is 5 days (I believe) so once you sign up for that, I think you are good to "lock in" the promo price. You'll see it previewed in your checkout screen. Hi. DTV Stream originally said it would end 9/5, but then updated the language in the fine print and removed the date. They can always pull offers anytime. I wouldn’t count on it staying around much longer. Clark rocks!

No telling what YTTV will do. Hulu Live increases its price in October. There’s also the Venu factor. A lot going on that makes things less predictable.

The one thing bad about DirecTV stream that I experienced in the past you had to ask to cancel you could not just click a button and cancel never go back

I still think calling is better just to see if they offer you a deal before cancellation. Usually if you call DirecTV to cancel they will try to offer you something...if it's a discount I would take it...

I had started a contract 4 months ago, now its half what I pay and I have a contract. How can I cancel that and get this same deal?

You can’t. You are in a contract for a different service, DIRECTV via Internet I assume. It would not be worth it to break the contract - this deal is only for 3 months.

Just want to chime this in. We recently got fiber by AT&T. When we asked about the U-Verse boxes our installer said there are no new boxes and U-Verse is in the process of being phased out. Said with in the next year or two it’ll be gone completely so if we want TV service by AT&T it’ll have to be Direct Tv ideally streaming. So anyone that has U-Verse and are thinking of switching this is kinda a heads up.

Well, that's possible. Hulu + Live TV just announced an increase and the services do tend to raise prices every year. But there is no commitment to stay, which I explain in the video.
