A tutorial? Feels like turning back the clock. Glad you're doing well and happy that you decided to come back to KZbin. Can't wait to learn how to deal even though l will never do anything with it.

Thank you for this, I'm actually intrigued. While I may find a job for the time being, I'll keep learning from these videos you put out.

There's a lot of video/content/information before I recommend going out to apply for a job, in this field -- want you confident, and ready for anything!

I’m a mathematics major in school with a card magic background. Do these types of things exist part time? Aspire to inspire 🤝

Yes, you can easily find a part-time job dealing cards in a poker room. Just keep your magic skills a closely guarded secret

You can work, as little as one day a week, for a couple hours, doing this kind of work. Or as much as 14 hours a day, in multiple rooms/home games, and start stacking

Is there a way to practice online or an app on the phone to get use to using the formula ?
@DisturbReality

Hold off on practicing the formula, for now. And instead, start giving yourself random 2-3 digit numbers, and multiply them by 3 [in your head]. However, make sure those 2-3 digit numbers END with either 0 or 5. i.e. You shouldn't yet be multiplying 392 by 3, you'd either try multiplying 390 or 395 by 3. If you can give yourself numbers that end in either 0 or 5, and multiply them quickly, by 3, then that's the best practice you can be doing, to get ahead of yourself--for now. When you're walking or driving or bored, just be asking yourself, 'what's 85 x 3?' 'what's 270 x 3?' 'what's 45 x 3? 'what's 315 x 3?' 'what's 20 x 3?' Start doing this, it will give you a head-start on the next video to be uploaded, and will ultimately help make calculating the pot EASIER, once we circle back to it.. there's also another video to be released about calculating the pot, that needs to be addressed, so start testing your math boundaries as the next video is being prepared for upload.

10:10 - when you say a guy is all in and he has $125 & the pot is $385. He can still play? And why didn't you throw in his red chips? Does he pay the difference of $260 later?
@eltobic
@eltobic 9 ай бұрын
His 125 is added to the main pot (as well as 125 from all other bidding players) and then any extra is put into a side pot that can only be won by players who matched the extra amount

I didn’t put all his reds in (roughly $115??), because I’m blowing through a lot of examples in a short period of time. He would be All-In for all his chips - he does not have $385, realistically a total of like $240. Again, I’m going through a lot of hypotheticals to make the understanding of the formula seep in, saving time of putting chips in then pulling them back. But yea, all of his reds and greens WOULD BE thrown in.

Do they let people with card magic backgrounds deal poker

If it’s a closely guarded secret, then yes. If you’re sitting at a table and showing players your magical skills, then you wouldn’t be given a job. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should, nor does it mean you Do.
