This is so helpful as I recover from injuries from a pedestrian/vehicle accident and surgery. I deeply appreciate what Dr. Thupten said regarding “post-traumatic growth.” I was sequestered from regular routines for 3-1/2 months being hospitalized and in a rehab center. Accepting help from loved ones and care givers is indeed heart opening, and not only for me. It allows and honors others being helpful. The heart opening, kindness and capacity for growth is expansive.

in an ordinary day... most people deal with some sort of pain.. as you say... unfortunately there's more than that available... I hurt my back 24 years ago.. stopped using pain medicine from the doctor in 2019.. October... most of the pain I have now is a direct result of taking that medicine.. withdrawal takes 10 days.. no worries... each pill is a very very small amount of medicine.. and a large amount of indigestible calcium salt... it goes in.. and doesn't come out because our bodies cannot metabolize the calcium salts.. the alkalai metals are used in the processing and production of the radioactive isotopes of uranium... which are neither rare or hard to find... I have had severe cramping and 3rd degree burns across my stomach and chest off and on for more than 3 years... I glow in the dark 🌑 because the calcium salts bind the radioactive isotopes my dad was a nuclear engineer and physicist... it's something I know about from childhood... much like you know about the monastic life .. I grew up with it.. it's also part of the geology I have studied for 40 years... I get occasional reprieves and have a few good days... but it seems like it might last forever... when the pain gets bad... 5 minutes seems like forever.. the gibbering in my mind shuts off everything else... this is my first breath of pain free air in several days passing radioactive kidney stones is... beyond painful.. meditation has been the only refuge HH and you are the anchor I thank you from the bottom of my heart Peace ✌️

the description of Buddha says he had a 3 meter halo or something like that... I wonder about that, sir... I am not sure I'm altogether that good... but.. I am that altogether radioactive... and it's exactly the opposite of Tsongkhapa's bliss... Buddha was right... life is suffering

my personal method for dealing with this stuff has been to tell others... and let them know there are alternatives... without alternatives my rants would just be sour grapes... here's the first thing... and absolutely everyone knows this one ==>> you are what you eat... how could it be otherwise? and there are certain requirements for the processes of Life to occur... most processed food has had all the nutrition processed out... eating it is good for nothing and probably harmful... the chemistry of Life works best with living food 🥑🥝 fruit... nuts... juices... clean water fresh veggies rice and beans I eat some meat... a little chicken... free range chickens... their eggs... some red meat... but not when I cook my own food... fresh fish from lakes in the mountains... wheat... barley and rye bread in moderation noodles but I started using hemp seed oil... back in 2014... the first thing that happened is my feet grew a full centimeter... at 63 I was not expecting to grow any more in that direction... ;;~} I'm also very thin and in a wheelchair... my feet weren't spreading... I grew

then I had surgery on my arm.. metal plate installed for a broken humerus.. it wasn't funny... big long incision... all of it healed in about a third the predicted time... it's very hard to find the scar... this rang a bell for me... my brother was a research scientist at UCSD looking for the cause of hardening of the arteries and myocardial infarction... scar tissue is a prime factor... I had added blue poppy seeds to the oil... raw... ground into a flour... and I add about 2 or 3 CCs of this poppy seed flour to a liter of oil... a month's worth for my family... my little dog loves it.. we use it topically on the skin... for cooking... and I use it for all the things that require oil in my shop... these two ingredients provide all the nutrients we need to live... including, and especially... the neurotransmitters that bridge the gap between nerve cells... our bodies will manufacture these neurotransmitters... but it takes everything we have... and a little bit more... when we provide them in our daily diet... our body is able to heal itself... with endogenous stem cells... which means we won't have scar tissue... which means longer and healthier lives... the only things that passes through cell walls in our body are fatty acids and lipids... my brother spent his career looking for the magic lipids to prevent heart disease... this is the conclusion of his work... what this means is we can feed ourselves with two annual plants that will grow anywhere people live... we have found that our plants are much healthier when we use companion planting... with beans... the cannabis fixes nitrogen better and the soil improves with each crop... cannabis has male and female plants.. they don't need bees... the pollen falls down on the female flowers and... everything else under the tall spindly males .. which means bees walking around on the flowers of the poppies and beans.. and other garden veggies >> get all the goodness... * using honey instead of sugar is a good idea... having a garden and keeping bees is an even better idea .. take your shoes off in the garden... take your kids too... you will be glad you did.. and... ya never know... you might just live forever ♾️ Peace ✌️ y'all hug your kids... a lot that helps everything

so... I would like to talk about cannabis for a moment, please... there's no reefer madness y'all... I checked... more than once 🤠.. it is the single most useful plant in the garden.... with at least 10,000 known uses.. and that's just at my house... when you grow it... that's 10,000 things you don't have to buy from someone else... and that, brothers and sisters, is why it is ill eagle 🦅 The Navajo say goodbye the same way they say hello Walk in Beauty very wise people
