A manager of mine once put it best: the nail that stands out gets hammered down. And damn if that isn't true. The second best piece of advice I learned myself: spend as little time interacting with women in the workplace as possible. Odds are nothing will happen, and even if it does, you can get in trouble. And if it turns out she's not into you, you'll definitely get in trouble when she reports you. I've left jobs and found out years later that there were woman at my job who were twice my age, that I had zero interest in, who reported me for "making them feel uncomfortable".

Too many people think it’s normal to get taken advantage of at a job. And when you stand on business you just get called irresponsible or a bad worker. I’ve quit jobs plenty of times when I was being treated unfairly but nobody could say I was lazy or hard to deal with, they were.

@@AdilRarbaje I respect that and I just had to let you know as a brother because I became a firefighter at age 18 under a government company and all of the people there were older than me and in higher positions than me. But as soon as I came in I excused a certain confidence in myself that I’ve always had and as soon as we started working/fighting the fires they saw how ambitious and passionate I was while I was working and I quickly gained a reputation as being a warrior/hard worker. Word spread around and i became a mini celeb after that my fire Cheif started trying to do things to get me to quit my job
