Can you not leave the bagged clippings for weekly yard waste pick up? or do they not collect grass clippings? I'd also say 3 inch is a good standard height to cut. Not too short but still looks crisp.

I agree with you on 3” being the perfect height. As for clippings our city does not pick them up for us.

Even though they do where i am, I never leave clippings. Just feels like poor service.

Never Stop Learning. 2.5" is pretty short for Ontario, We cut 3" at the lowest for weekly, anything by weekly cut low so it wont grow.

3 is even low, here in the states 3.25 to 4.5

You should add commercial 21 inch Toros to your fleet. They are expensive but super fast, mulch extremely well, durable, and bag well too if you need to. On properties that are tightly landscaped with a lot of turning, you'll find they are faster than the 30s. Not to mention they are a lot lighter too.

I was going to purchase some 21" Commercial Toros but couldn't get my hands on any. The ideal set up for my future crews would be a 21" commercial & 48" stand!

@@Stefano_Narducci That's a great set up. Those grandstand mowers are excellent. Whenever you decide to go with those commercial 21 inch Toro units, stick with the Kawasaki or Honda versions. Avoid the Kohler versions. I also use Stihl FS91r and Shindaiwa T262 trimmers along with the Stihl BR800x and Shindaiwa EB910 (same as the big Echo blowers). You're doing a great job with your business. I'm from the Toronto area and I've been mowing lawns on a part time weekend basis for 30 years. The market down here is extremely saturated with far too much competition that keeps prices down. Your market up where you are is much better and you are running an excellent operation. Business is growing, you are very detailed oriented, your employees seem happy, your customers are content, and you make sure you do the job the correct way. Fantastic work by yourself and employee. I don't know if you already offer these services but definitely look at accessory services like fertilizer apps, aeration, hedge trimming, spring and fall clean ups etc. That's where higher profit margin work can happen. Great to see young people like yourself doing so well by having a strong work ethic and a passion for what you do. Keep it up.

I don’t know the real story behind your company you make it seem like you’re a kid running this million dollar company and I don’t really believe it without a rich family member supporting you. This is impossible. However you definitely still have a lot to learn on the Landscaping side, I’ll just say that.
