Hey Bryan, really enjoying this series. More so a general question - I’m an associate at a BB in IB (~3 to 4 years experience) and looking at my exit options. Do you regret making the jump into start-ups? Out of the exits, this really looks interesting to me (+ I’m not getting younger!) However, my only gripe would be the potential (inevitable) paycut - in % terms, how much lower was your start-up salary vs your all-in comp at the time and how does the hours differ also (I.e. is it 80-100, more 60 or even 40?)

I think its the best decision ive ever made but def not everyone Id say work life isn't necessarily better but more self driven not someone breathing down your neck Comp it's lower but depends on stage and ofc much more upside

Really useful insight - thanks a lot! More so another question, have you ever seen people at VP/Director/MD level pivot into start-ups? I understand this is more of a young persons game? Thanks for the reply, love the content!

Ive actually seen a couple but either as founders or joining later stage startups. OR pretty established companies who are starting startup like new verticals
