I think that was amazing advice. When we are concentrating on the Lord and being actively engaged in being a blessing to someone else, it takes the focus off ourselves. God’s plans are the best plans and he promises us that he is always with us, that he would never leave us nor forsake us. In abiding in him, shackles fall.

Loneliness is horrible experience but if you got god in your life you never be alone. Do things that makes you busy and happy better be alone than in wrong company or fake people everywhere

This is really hard to ask for, and there's so much I can't even type it. Would anyone have any good comforting words of encouragement? I'm heartbroken and the pain won't go away. I feel alone in the world. I definitely don't want to "meet anyone." There is someone I love, someone I know was meant for me. I cry myself to sleep. It won't stop hurting, and just taking it from day to day is all I can do. I feel like God has forgotten me. Does God forget his people like that? I watched this video and I think it's great advice, but I am still hurting and words of encouragement would mean so much. Thank you if you can help me.

Stay strong. After being alone for 11 yrs, I met a man I used to work with. We went to church together, etc. I knew God ordained our steps. After 5 yrs of dating & finding out who he really was, I realized God sent him for a purpose, not for long term. Stay strong, God is strengthening you, teaching you & ordaining other peoples steps to connect with you & your destiny. His Timing is Perfect. He's working in you thru trials too. 🙏 God Bless!!

I have been in the same situation for a very long time (13 years). So many nights, I am alone. I eat alone, shop alone, clean the house alone, watch tv alone. Everyday. My friends and family have their lives, so I don’t see them often. So my loneliness began to consume me, overwhelm me. It took over, and I found myself in a very dark place. So dark, that I pushed God aside. It was easier for me to mope around and cry, instead of getting up and doing something bc I did not want to do life alone, anymore. And then one morning, when I woke up, I heard God speak to me. He told me to pull myself together bc I was not alone and never was, not even when I shut Him out. I still had Him by my side. He watched my fall, and struggle with a self doubt you get when you’re alone. You know that desperate struggle you have within your heart when you’re crying and nobody notices! Well, God. notices you! He never left your side. He was the friend you needed and held you while cried. He was the one that made you get up brush your hair. He was the one that had you look out that window and see twenty robins in you yard. Who does that? God does! He sees you! He loves you! You are not alone! You just need to acknowledge His presence in everything, then you will see. You are not alone, and never were. God giving you a man, might not be the best thing. I found more love from God over the past few years, than any man could give me. I found myself, sounds cliche but I did. Once i started having a real love relationship with God, I was able to see myself and begin to love myself again. God gives you so much, just for being you. He gave you the morning, the evening and everything in between. You’re not alone bc you don’t have a man in your life. You’re alone bc you don’t see the most amazing right in front of you. Open your eyes, and you will see Him.

I had an abusive childhood like Joyce by 3 men, my mother died when I was 8yrs old. I married a distant man who never spent time with me that was the loneliest time of my life. I’m 58 yrs old now and I’ve been living on my own for 23yrs God is EVERYTHING YOU NEED no other person man or woman can fill that place in your life as good as HE can 😂 I’ve enjoyed getting to know HIM better every day and HE alone has been my STRENGTH COMFORT AND MY TRUSTWORTHY FRIEND I know I’m never alone. Don’t live by your feelings live in the TRUTH and TRUST GOD for your future TURN ON WORSHIP MUSIC, LISTEN TO GOOD TEACHING JOIN A CHURCH AND GIVE THANKS EVEN WHEN ITS HARD AND YOU FEEL LIKE ITS NOT WORTH LIVING 😢 Take a small step and keep going forward THE BEST IS YET TO COME AND HE WILL NEVER EVER EVER LEAVE YOU, JESUS FACED GOD TURNING AWAY FROM HIM ON THE CROSS SO HE DEFINITELY UNDERSTANDS. You can be lonely even if you are with someone. That is not the answer to loneliness. Enjoy the time spent doing what I like, and knowing God is always there to talk to. Better than having to deal with difficult people.

I can totally relate to this lady's story. Divorced at 50 after 25 years of marriage to an unbeliever, I spent the following 10 years seeking, hoping, doing my best to find a partner, and because I live in the country, with a tiny local church, I went online. Perhaps it works for some people but it certainly didn't for me, and I don't recommend it. I'm much happier now I ve given up that hope of meeting someone. It's best to be alone than being abused, and it's best to reconcile oneself to one's circumstances rather than hope for "better". Joyce's advice is good, too. Nothing is impossible for God. Besides I'm not sure remarriage after divorce is necessarily God's best will for us.

I deal.with loningness alot.I have 2 sons and daughter.They hardrdly visit me or interact with me.I'm the only parent alive.I dod'nt have close friends because you can't trust anyone.I know Jesus is my personal savior and he has my back.But who can you be with that's safe anymore.The women at the congregation are all clicky revolving doors.I appreciate prayers for my blood family.I haven't seen my sister or her children and grandchildren children for over 4 yrs.

I went to AA for years and part of recovery is helping others you get out of yourself and helping someone makes you feel really good I found out my partner was cheating and was talking to my sponsor about it and she told me to get out of myself and help somebody.

There is Hope and Love, which can only be found in Jesus. God has a purpose for you now. He sees, knows, and understands the pain from your past. God doesn't see your scars from your past, whether you made mistakes or decisions where made for you. What God sees is your Beauty. He sees you as fearfully and wonderfully made. If I could choose an ability it would be to put couples together, I guess I'd be Marriage Man. Waiting and maturing for the right person is worth the wait, but enjoy each season. A desperate air doesn't attract anyone. When I was single I'd tell women that "I had no felony convictions as an adult so I could be picky." That goes a long way at some big city church scenes

I get lonely too, because I was never married, & I will be 60 in August 27, 2023. I never had kids, because I was never sexualy intimate with any man. I was an only child, & now it's just my Mom & Me. I moved back with my Mom because my Dad died, & I did not want her to be alone in that house. My Mom & I were abused by my Dad, & it stunted my mental & emotional growth, so I was still like a teenager in my 20's. That's why I did not marry, & God did not bring me a man in my 30's. So....

What rubbish! Loneliness is a deep issue as we are deprived of touch affection intimacy and relevance. I'm 59 and been on my own for 6 and half years. I wish people would stop philosophising about this giving stupid advice. It's not as simple as going to "do something" there is deep fulfilment when we feel someone is there to love cherish and share our burdens. And not having that is very painful full stop!
