On this day two years ago, I lost the most important person in my life. My mother passed away from pancreatic cancer. I stood by her, holding her hand and watched her take her last breath. At the second my life completely changed forever. I lost my best friend, confidant, my heart, soul, my everything. Christmas doesn't anything to me. I know the true meaning of Christmas but as far as celebrating In could care less. My sister and I are heading to the cemetery today to remember her. The pain of losing her is still there and always will be.

I'm sorry. While I can't claim to know exactly what you are feeling in your specific loss, I do understand what you're going through. I am approaching the two year anniversary of my mom's passing in February and it is still very difficult. The holidays are especially difficult. This will be my second Christmas without my mom, and it is just not the same without her. I have found that for me personally spending time with family and friends and being able to talk to them really helps.

These pod casts help be better understand the gospel. I’m marrying my beautiful fiancé next year, and I feel personally responsible to lead my family by letting Jesus lead me. Thank you for being my virtual mentor. Much love

I don’t know why I’m amazed when I see that God is quietly working in my life when at times I don’t feel Him. And I know why I don’t feel Him….its bc I failed to pray that day or even a few days. That needs to be daily. Daily seeking. I just stumbled upon your podcast bc I get them all but sometimes I don’t listen to them all. But your wife said something on this podcast that has helped me more than ANYTHING THAT SOMEONE HAS SAID TO HELP ME WITH GRIEF. “We don’t go from death to death….we go from life to life. I’m a Christian and I know that my husband is living his eternal life with Jesus. But when she said that it felt kinda like the time I gave my heart to Jesus! Something changed in me as far as my grief is concerned! Thank you so so much. You have no idea how much better I feel! God bless you! Wow! And also you won’t believe this bc I’m in awe too! You answered my question that I emailed you on this podcast. I know now I’m not so anonymous but so what! Just so you know I am a Christian and what I want is for my actions as a woman who’s now a widow to honor God just like I’ve always wanted . But God led me here to listen tonight for more than one reason and I’m amazed! Praise God I’m amazed! God was ALL OVER THIS TONIGHT! All in it!

Loss can be very difficult, especially around the holidays. I lost my mom February 1st 2022. My mom was my best friend in this world, so losing her has left a huge void. Now, close to two years later I am doing better, but there are still times when her absence really hits hard, the holidays are one of those times. There are things we would normally do as a family that we either just don;t do anymore since she's gone, or that are just not the same without her. It's like constant reminders that she's gone. It can be very difficult. I have found that it really helps to have family and friends around that I can talk to and spend time with. Also, for Biff: If the pastor's instruction to "talk to other people" was intending for them to 'see' (date) other people, then that is terrible advice coming from a pastor. You both made vows to each other. It's supposed to be a life time commitment. It does take both people to honor that, I understand that. Do everything you can to fight for your marriage. Be there. Show up. Support. Admit when you've done wrong, or fallen short. If you haven't seen the movie Fireproof, definitely rent/buy that and watch it!

The sun will rise again! It’s awesome that yall covered that. I’m currently deployed and away from my wife and three kids. I’ve been in for 17 years so this isn’t the first holiday season I’ve missed but this one is extra heavy. Thanks for the comfort and the work you are doing.

I don't know if I've ever heard anyone talk about 1 Corinthians 11:10 ..." the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head because of the angels"! I started wearing a headband years ago because of this verse. I find this very practical as my hair is thinning at age 67. I can always find something pretty to put on my head! ♥️😃

For many years I serviced Mennonite families on my job. I went into their homes, schools and businesses. It was a pure joy. Some of the nicest and hard working people you can meet. Never have I seen more obedient children. They don't have some of the temptations that we have. I feel like they're on to something there. Yee Yee

First of all, I want to thank you for getting a producer for the show. I’ve noticed things have been different for a little bit, and I really like the way the show goes now. It just seems smoother. Second, I want to thank you and Amber for the encouragement to re-purpose the day of a loved ones passing. I have shared that advice with folks in my life, and it seems like a great way to deal with a very difficult situation. Y’all are appreciated

Love the guest! You two together are so good. I believe you both answered pretty well on all questions. Thank you Granger for making the statement about that Pastor who told the guy to talk to others. Yes we're not to sure what that meant exactly, but if its like 'see others' he needs to step out of that job. I was floored when I heard you read that. I pray for each of these that wrote in and may Our Lord direct you to Him and what you need to do. Merry Christmas Smith Family! ~ Texas

The sun will rise sure, but you’ll have the same problems you had before, and the same feelings you had before. You have to find peace beyond just what gets you through the day. It’s not a permanent solution, and eventually it adds up and eats away at you.

No we pentecostal don't make our wife's wear head coverings we are different than traditional Pentecostals meaning God doesn't go by how you look its how you speak and how you Love your brother, got tattoos me too, don't wear shirts with Long sleeves everyday me too, when we give our lives to God we walk talk and Love like Jesus Christ that is the difference ask for forgiveness every day, Pray and fast and remember we are all sinners and sin every day we are not perfect and only one man was perfect and none of us can walk on water Godbless You Grainger Smith
