I don't think I've ever been so early that I'm first comment but.. Granger I just want you to know that I've followed your career for a long time. I love your music and the messages in it, and when you and Amber lost River it tore my heart to pieces. I had a full term still birth 7 years ago, so I can empathize completely with your heart break. When my phone goes off at 6:00 am on Mondays for the podcast, I'm already up with my notebook out and my coffee and Bible. I can't wait to hear the message you have for us every week, and I'm so proud of you and the arc your life has taken and how strong you remain in your faith and sharing the gospel with others regardless of what you've been through in your life. God bless you and your family and YEE YEE FOREVER!!

Thank you for another great podcast! To the one who commented that the Amish around their community are dishonest and cheat in their marriage..it's sad indeed! However please don't put them all in the same boat! There are many Amish communities that are honest ,respectful and faithful. Sin is not tolerated and abuse is reported. They are truly striving to serve God and are born again believers.

Philippians 2:12-13 the Holy Spirit draws us but once we believe we must act on what the Spirit teaches us. And it's not that we have to stop having fun, it's that our idea of fun changes as we grow in our relationship with God.😊

I read, "Like a River" as soon as I got but today after watching this episode it made me want to listen to it and to my surprise it was you that was reading it! I loved empiercing the book throw your perspective of it. I loved the side notes that we could only get from you reading it. I love hearing the emotions that you gave us for reading it yourself. I loved how it read like you just telling us memories from your life instead of just reading the book. Thank you for writing this and letting us in so deep. Listening to the life that Riv lived sounds so much like our son. They are so similar so it makes me if like a knew Riv a bit throw our son. Thank you for all that you and your family does and stands for.

It was pretty cool how each question seemed to connect to the next in one way or another. Like usual I appreciated your advice Granger and your Godly approach to problem solving. I also think that the thing that Bernie is doing with his son sounds like an amazing gift to/for him. Something he will cherish his whole life. Building an amazing young man! He’s from Bernie, so what did we expect but greatness?!?😊. Thanks for another great podcast! I was busy this morning but enjoyed listening while eating my dinner! Good stuff. I have some things I’ll be taking from this podcast and adding to my daily routine. In addition to my morning Bible reading it sounds like some journaling would really benefit me along with some meditation on the scriptures I just read. Thank you Granger, you continue to shape my life in a very profound way. Blessings ❤😊

Agree 100% not dating until you move out, unfortunately my husband and I didn't get that until 3 out of 4 ofour children made bad spouse decisions. As parents we need to do better.

When taken in context of the other parables in chapter 13, as well as the shepard leaving the 99 to find the one, it becomes clear that WE are the field. God sacrificed his son, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross (Heb 12:2). Our salvation is not contingent on us “surrendering all” or selling all we have to come to Jesus. It is all God’s work!

Can you discuss how to handle life and kids if 1 spouse is saved after marriage, several years after. And this spouse can see the church that we started in is not following Christ/poor leadership etc.

Granger in the Amish culture. They may stick together. But there is A LOT of cheating going on. We live near a lot of Amish. Not a lot of honesty. And respectability there in marriages sadly. Not sure what the right answer there is. Divorce is horrible. But being cheated on isn't either. Your truly blessed if you found someone that is committed. Truly I'm sorry Granger, but YOU cannot give advise on Divorce, unless you've been there. Wayyyy too many self opinions early in your Christian walk Granger. Before this kind of advise is given. You gotta have some time, years, experience under your belt. Please seek other guidance about this people. Do not take these opinions as concrete answers. You deserve to speak to other Pastors/counselors that are more advanced on this topic.

Goodness... you have to let your children make mistakes Granger. You said they aren't allowed to date while living with you? How do they experience dating the right way then? That my friend is a mistake. They are your kids. You guys make that call. But, I'm afraid your kids are going to grow up resenting you and Amber. You dated! She dated! Put yourself in their shoes. You cannot keep them chained up with all these rules. I agree, with some. But, stopping them from getting to know the opposite sex in the right way. Is what's best. Not stopping it all together. Wow.
