Thanks, I try to be genuine on this channel as well as my technology channel. I started this vlog channel for those who want to connect with me on a personal level, especially since the tech channel is growing so much, I dont want to seem fake and with it becoming large, I cannot interact over there. This vlog channel is intended as a journal for me, which is why I try to do this everyday, I want to look back and see progress. I just chose to make it all public instead of private

This seriously just helped me understand and put in words EXACTLY how i feel. You gave me the perspective i was looking for in less than 10 minutes than i could get in 3 years. Thanks Jay.

I do experience Euphoria as well. Just not as often as the deep depression. A lot of what I experience I just keep inside and hide until it boils over and becomes uncontrollable, which by that time, nothing anyone says can snap me out of it, which just causes more problems, which only adds to the weight of the situation.

This video describes me perfectly. I'm dealing with manic depression, it runs in my family. It's like no matter what I accomplish in my life it's never enough nor will it be good enough. Thank you for this blog, I'm glad I'm not fighting this alone.

This video is perfect because it is a real straightforward example of depression. So realistic. Sometimes in trying to fix yourself you fix others. Sadly there is no fixing anything sometimes

For me playing LoL with friends, minecraft alone with mods and listening to black veil brides helped me out of depression. I think it took 3-4 months of listening to BVB for me to notice I was no longer feeling nothing or sad. Somehow gaming helped beat my depression just because gaming lead to friends and friends + gaming lead to the greatest moments I have had in my life. Weird thing how I didn't know I was depressed years ago, but some games were fun then, but aren't fun now.

Thanks for following boogie, even though I forgot to ask him not to comment lol. I appreciate it. If you watch my tech channel you will see a serious character difference than on this channel, mostly because on the tech channel Im trying to entertain, on this channel, its purely raw, and a lot of people really seem to like that.

Been depressed and worked on it by way of working out and living the life that I want to. I am not losing this battle. I don't take meds and I will never take meds again.

Bipolar Manic here.. Went through this last year when my 14th came. Been put on Anti-depression before my 15th. And still on them now. I know what it's like, it's hell for everyone around you. But deep down inside it grows and gets more worse. I don't hang around with any of my mates/friends because of what I became from my depression, I've kept myself in my room all the time, play games, listen to music, yeah yeah you get what I mean. But stay strong man, doing good.

I just found out I was Bi Polar (manic depressive). I am a veteran of Iraq and the VA put me on a med for it. I seem to be in the same boat as you, or at least I was. I learned it was the constant ups and then downs of the mood swings. Since the medication, which isn't anti-depressants I noticed I am more balanced. I don't like meds myself, yet I thought since nothing helped I would give it a shot. It is working so far. Trying to help yourself is better then not trying. Just don't give up!

I describe depression as bottom of the pit of despair. You never really know how you got there but when you're there you fucking know it. You fear it and it haunts your every thought of never wanting to go back. Its like being in a pit of black tar that seeps into your bones and tries everything to keep you in it. Even after you come out of the pit you can still feel it calling you back. I'm a 32 year old ex-OIF vet and I struggle everyday. My biggest fear is that it will never stop calling me.

Hospital, therapy, medicine - never worked. For the past 4 years, I've worked on myself and come to the conclusion that it's all how I see it. A baby gets a cut, cries. That same cut makes a child say ouch, not cry. Child gets a cut and cries, that same cut makes an adult say ouch, not cry. I compare that physical cut with my mental feelings. Today, I can take it because I've trained my mind into realizing that I'm in control of how I feel. Nothing can bring me down. I fear nothing. Perception.

No dislikes on this video yet Jay! And I am not trying to make you feel better since the only thing that brings that about is time, but I deal with alot of the same high low stuff you do, when I get really high anything from driving in the car listening to music gives me that euphoric sense of happiness, and when im low, I turn rude/harsh and push everyone I love away even though id love for them to sit down and force whats wrong out of me, and all I do during that time is focus on the negative

Hey Jay. I dont really know whats going on in your life but if you think about it you have it alot better than alot of other people in the world. So no matter how bad you think you have it remember you should be thankful for things like yor family, your home, career, youtube, etc. Now go get happy.

You may as well be saying that to a shop building "Why are you open! I don't need anything from you!", people will listen to things they relate to, it makes them feel better that someone else is out there having the same problem - I know Boogie does that and it's good. Facebook is a prime example, people complain on there for people to say "it's ok" or "Awwwk pet" or similar.

To answer the question of why people watch a video like this. My answer would be because it's real. Going through life talking not many people tend to talk to you about real issues that they are facing, especially issues that would make them seem weak or unstable mentally. So to hear another person with similar issues be real and say what is really on their mind is interesting to others. At least that's how I feel.

I didnt ask for anyone to hear me. I understand you followed Boogies comment over here, so consider yourself a guest on my channel. First off, this vlog channel is nothing more than a journal for MYSELF! I was talking to my future self rewatching these videos. Ive said before that I only allow people to see them, but I am not trying to entertain anyone on here. If I choose not to be in a mood to discuss anything further, there is a red x at the top of this window. Use it.

You did see I was replying to someone who was being blatantly rude, right? Not towards the person who made the video, right? Also I didn't tell them there was a fix. I said we should focus on trying to find one for the benefit of others. Also go do some reading? I'm a social worker. I deal with these kind of situations every single day of my life. I'm pretty sure I'm qualified in this field. (I have my BSW, MSW, as well as I passed the Advanced Generalist / Clinical ASWB exams.)

KZbin is chock full of fake stuff, information, entertainment, etc... Those kinds of vids are more like tv not really relate-able for most people. These kinds of vids show people the human factor. They become a step closer to real human contact with a person and not just a channel that they watch or tune in to. We all want human contact even if its behind a wall of anonymity. It's also a great reminder that were not all alone on this rock.

Man I don't know what to say. I guess I can start by saying I appreciate the video on thermal paste Video you referred me to in the past. I know I can't say much to change your attitude or how you feel about life, but I know why I watch/ ed your video. Not everyone has a perfect life with happiness. Hell, I'm sure some of our favorite music artist have the same low points and express it through their music and we support it. Hence, you're human just like them Jay so why don't you deserve it?

I stumbled upon your vlog. Im not reaching out to help you but perhaps your stories can help me. A loved one suffers with this issue and although I am non-judging and quite supportive, when he has an episode he rips me to shreds with evil, vile and cruel words and accusations. Im guessing this is part of the condition but how do I diffuse a volatile situation while still remaining supportive? It difficult not to tell him to fuck off.

I will not get into the discussion about medications. Those things are worthless. Been a bipolar disorder or whatever you want to call it sense I was 7. So I know what your going through. I am 36 years of age. But working out is what keeps your spirits up. Do some jumping jacks and see how you feel after.

If you are depressed, nothing will make you feel right. It's this shitty time you have to go through. Being Bi-polar myself, I wish I could give you a magic word that will make you feel good but there just isn't! I don't want to be mean but I am being truthful. Time will make it pass but nothing else will. Only thing you can do is work to further yourself even when you are depressed, though it will not make you feel good, it atleast doesnt make shit worse.

People are diagnosed with the wrong condition especially with depression. Thyroid gland is responsible of the hormonal system so it makes us who we are, if it's dysfunctional we're messed up in a way we can never understand but diagnosed depression and swallowed lotta wrong pills and still feel horrible after years.

I always find myself in a spot in life where i seem to almost have the basic things that would truly make me happy. Not that i ask for much. But when i almost have success, i really need to make big effort and fighting up hill like a enslaved minion to achieve it with a lot of consequences along the road. I have a fience and she's not allowed in my country. Sold my apartment, moving to another country & change job. Economy is basically crap. Depression knocking on the door. Still waiting for her

If I go to the doctor and tell them I think I have the flu, they'll check my ears, check my throat, check my pulse, look into my eyeballs, draw blood, make a culture, etc. If I go to the doctor and tell them I'm feeling depressed, bam, mind altering drug prescription just like that. No thanks.

Cannabis has done wonders for my depression, and a sweating problem I'd had since as far back as I could remember. I had motivation to do things, to learn to drive, to search for a job, I felt what I imagined a normal person would feel like - two years later and I wish I had done it sooner. Not that it can help everyone obviously, but it's definitely worth researching.

Before you respond, I can never comprehend how you feel. It doesn't matter how bad I've felt, I can not comprehend. Each has their own worst feeling. I can compare myself to you only through a word - depression. I can not say I feel like you. I won't give you some guilt trip "what about your family" bullshit or some "chemicals" bullshit. I know you, but only you can comprehend. I can only imagine. Try my perception method for one single day. Only you can work on yourself. Fuck everything else.

I think that you are a weak person and that you can't handle the world you live in. But the world won't stop hitting you, problems won't disappear by themselves, it will bring you lower and lower until, at some point, you wake up and realize that you have the strength inside you. At that point, you will have to choose. Will you let the world bring you down, or will you stand up and say ''bring it on, I can take anything you can put on me!''. Love is the key, so let the love be your guide. :)

The long-term (four hours or so) effects of caffeine are depression. Try to limit coffee to no more than one cup in the morning. Coffee can make you more alert for an hour or so, but later you get an opposite reaction. Caffeine tends to increase the release of insulin in the blood, and insulin lowers the blood sugar level. When you have low blood sugar levels, you begin to feel less sure of yourself, and have low energy levels, which can lead to the blues or depression. -k-state.edu
