rinsing with water`s really nice idea. didn`t know they can survive few days submerged, but it totally make sense, considering what nature does to these tiny things living in soil. I`m a do this. thanks man.

things I have come across on the interent: put whiteworms in water and rinse, then put them back in new soil Place moistened newspaper on top of bedding, and remove the paper as mites accumulate on them. Repeat until mite populations are reduced to acceptable levels. Place Pieces of Cantalope on Top of Bedding or avocado or pieces of banana skin Place pieces of watermelon or cantaloupe rind or potato slices on top of the worm beds. Mites are attracted to the sweetness of the rinds or peels and will accumulate on them. The rinds or peels can then be removed and dropped in water or buried. They also like cardboard pieces
