Sam's a little preoccupied dealing with what happened with Rowena but Cas kept saying that he's been trying to talk to Dean about all these things going on with him...he could have gone to Sam. I hated how he lumped Sam in with his rant to Belphegor in hell and then just took off at the end of this episode without having apparently talked to Sam at all (given he had to ask Dean how Sam was...though granted Dean probably immediately went to Sam before Cas could but still Sam has always been very supportive and loving towards Cas).

This fight is gonna last a relatively long time, but I personally see it as a good thing! The excellent storytelling with this show indicates to me that if you're going to have a fight that dramatic between two people who clearly care about each other (whether you see it as romantic or not), they ultimate pay off when they reunite and forgive each other is gonna be EPIC. Cas and Dean's fights have always gotten progressively worse throughout the show, but their relationship has always gotten stronger once they forgave each other. They've never had a fight this big, but the pattern indicates AWESOMENESS to come :) I also think that this time apart is different - this was Cas leaving because he knows his own self-worth enough to know he doesn't deserve to be treated this way, and Dean looks devastated as a he realizes he crossed a line. Which means Cas isn't gonna be a doormat anymore and Dean will learn to treat Cas better and communicate his emotions more effectively - all REALLY great things for their individual character development that also ultimately serve for them to be better friends (or more, if you see it that way!) down the line. Sorry for the essay - I'm just really excited for what's to come :) I hope this helps you feel at least a little bit better about where the show is going!

@@nehasudhir2400 Personally I just want them to get it over with. We all know they're going to make up and they'll push TFW again. I'm bored with the escalated, prolonged drama. I'm not the biggest Cas fan, I can take him or leave him, but the show obviously likes the TFW concept. I just can't find myself to care about their fighting when it's the final season and because there is a certain loud segment of fandom that is overprotective of Cas, there is too much Dean hate going on in certain prominent social media locations. And when I'm not shifting through those comments I'm having to skim through destiel fans either proclaiming it will happen or making threats that it better. I just wish the final season wouldn't predominantly be emphasizing a fight that we all know will end eventually so frankly I feel like they could resolve it in a way where they grow without having it go on as long as it has esp when it's creating angry comments from certain loud fans against one of the main characters when I'd much rather see support towards Dean (and Sam) as we're on our journey to their ending. I mean I'm glad that at least Sam and Dean are in a united front right now against whatever will come there way and I don't mind Castiel going off for awhile but there's enough of a divide in fandom as it is and I feel like this fight is just creating even more unnecessary drama between the characters when there are plenty of ways they could bring in drama in this final season without turning certain fans against the main characters (at least moreso than people already are when they're in the midst of ship wars). Honestly, to me it just ends up feeling like they're extending this so they can give some sort of emphasis to the Dean and Cas friendship in a way that they hope will appease destiel fans without having them get too angry when it doesn't go canon but that's the cynical side of me.

L Burns Fair enough! I hate manufactured drama within the fandom as much as the next person, and I find standom to be a really dangerous and divisive force. Unfortunately, a lot of that mentality seems to involve blinders when it comes to whichever character/actor the so-called fan likes, rather forming conclusions using all the evidence and information we know about the characters and story, which means that there will always be SOMETHING for them to complain about or some reason that they will feel slighted, because the show is supposed to be about all these characters, not just your (not you specifically) favorite. As a huge fan of all of Team Free Will, I want to see them happy and kicking ass together, too. I’m not into drama for the sake of it, but I do think that it makes sense for there to be drama now. The stakes between Dean and Cas don’t feel trivial to me, personally. I guess the way I see it is that we’re always going to want things to be the best they can for the characters we love, and while I personally want it to happen right away, (unfortunately) I can’t just skip to the happy ending, so I may as well enjoy the journey and appreciate the attention to detail in the development and characterization of characters I love. If you don’t really like Cas, I can see how that probably wouldn’t appeal to you, though. I hope it gets resolved in a way that’s satisfying to all of us! 🤞

The Empty already forfeited its own part of the deal.. that Jack would get to go to Heaven when he died. Which he didn't, because we saw him with ~Billie in the Empty.. (still can't wait to find out why tho!) Castiel's deal wouldn't work for the Empty to get both of them. But also, does Castiel ~think that Jack is in Heaven & at peace now? Or is he actually under the impression that God "completely deleted" him from existence? Either way, Cas seems to have given up on getting Jack back on Earth, & most likely will ~never give himself any kind of "permission to be happy" (exact words of the deal re: timing) especially with the amount of guilt he is carrying.. ;(

I love dean... He has always been my favorite... But i am not ok with how he is treating cas... I know dean has lost a lot... But so has cas... And it wasn't even his fight... He went against heaven, against everything he believed in to help the Winchesters and here he is still trying to help them... Cas has lost his place in heaven, his brothers (the angels), his wings, most of his powers, the closest thing he had to a son Jack and finally his faith.... He has started feeling so guilty and insignificant. The only thing left in his life were Sam and Dean. And now this... And even though this breaks my heart I'm happy that Castiel is getting out of this toxic friendship/relationship. PS - for anyone who would say that dean has lost more... I don't really understand how people judge Dean for what he said, I mean any normal person would understand where he is coming from. Now he is confused because he still loves Cas but at the same time he is angry at him for what he did. Can not people understand that death of Dean's mother is also Cas's fault and he can not just ignore it? The entire basis for Dean's anger is that Cas didn't tell him that Jack what, euthanised a snake, a snake that belonged to a villain and I doubt anyone would have given the snake a second thought if Jack hadn't brought it with him out of some compassion he had, for a snake. Like really, imagine Cas telling Dean this happened, the moment it had happened. It would have made zero sense because it's only in hindsight that Dean can even assign this blame. Also, let's not forget Dean was the one who took Jack to Donatello to figure out if Jack was alright and he left atleast partly convinced that Jack was alright, so he definitely has his own share of the blame and as Sam rightly pointed out they all knew and they all chose to ignore it. But the problem with Dean is that, complex son of a bitch that he is, I already know he is blaming himself so it's not even like I can get angry at him the way I want to for blaming Cas for all his troubles.

I am not watching the show since season 10 because I get too emotional over these two and I needed to let it go for a while. I still watch fanvideos and I am waiting for the show to end so I will watch it again. I must say that video like this still make my heart ache with pain, I really hope for a good closure for their relationship because despite their difficulties they mean so much for one another and I hope they will find peace and happiness. I think that one thing that make this show so great is how real the characters feel, in the good and in the worst, despite being angry with them sometimes I still can understand where they are coming from... Michelle, please not that song. Everytime I hear it I'm crying and I was close to tears again. That last scene from 15x03 broke my heart when Cas said that Chuck's gone, he lost Jack but Dean at least have Sam. He even didn't say goodbye to Sam.😢 This last scene reminds me end of 9x03 when Ezekiel/Gadreel manipulated Dean to kicked Cas fom Bunker and Dean said to Cas "You can't stay".

This is so beautiful, their story is so beautiful and this song is perfect for this edit💔 It's so fucked up how dean was even able to say that "you're dead to me" line after how lost and devastated he was after cas actually died... Ugh what a dumbass, but he remains the dumbass i've chosen to love... I'm sad that they are fighting and i find it unnecessary but now that this is the way the show decided to take i'm at least glad that bobo ended cas's punching bag times, he deserves to be treated better and i hope dean realizes soon how much he lost with cas and that cas actually once abandoned everything he had known since the beginning of time for dean, oh it's gonna be emotional when they forgive each other😭❤
