anyone else think the story kind of went over his head? i really enjoy this song personally, it makes me think about the path the preacher was on and how he was trying to tell the others you dont want to try to fight the cattleman for two reasons only one is specified but he preached about the other. he knew what it ws like taking a mans life and the hollowness inside that now resided in him for taking so many lives himself. he had taken so many lives that he could tell by watching the cattleman how good of a gunman he was. there is alot to this song most of which is implied but when you fill in the gaps with whats implied you get this amazing painting of a man who at the end takes another life. yea it was justice but how many men can a man kill before he loses it. im sure every one has their own number!
